(no subject)
So I was a crap load of kid's shoes in the back room of Toys R Us today when Rebbeca, a manager, walked in started making pointless, annoying conversation. She looked down at a pair of shoes that I happened to be holding and said "I don't know any boy that would want a shoes that color...it's kindof a faggoty color."
Um...excuse me fatty? Yea I was a LITTLE pissed. If another associate had said something like that - like one of the guys joking around or something I would have just been like, "Hey, not cool", but hearing a manager that I work closely with say that seriously bothered me. I sat there for a minute trying to figure out if maybe I had misheard her or something...but there arent many words that rhyme with "faggoty". I started getting really pissed so I went up to the service desk to get away from her and talk to Alicia about it. Alicia reassured me that I wasn't overreacting and I had a right to be upset by it..so I talked to one of the district managers (who used to be one of our store managers) about it becuase he's awsome and I knew I wouldn. After speaking to him and explaining that I didn't feel comfortable saying anything directly to Rebbeca about it he talked to her and she ended up apoligising and everything...so it was awkward for the rest of the day haha. I didn't feel bad for getting her in trouble becuase I think it's rediculous that she woul think it was ok to say that in the first place....but I guess she felt really bad for saying it after she found out it bothered me enough to report it.
Jen thought it was funy of course becuase I had said 3 times that morning that i really liked that particular pair of shoes. heh. Figures.
So that was my day lol....
My house smells really good. My mom lit like 7362937 candles today for no reason.
