Fun fact for June 25th, 2010
The phrase "let sleeping dogs lie" is actually a reference to Texas congressman Johnny "Sleeping Dog" Collins, who was an early pioneer in political bullshitting. Legend has it that in late 1898, Collins, floundering in a debate in front of Texas voters, panicked and stabbed his opponent to death. He later insisted the incident was taken out of context.
