I come in at 8:11, and he smiles...

So this weekend is going to be interesting. Ann and Jessica are taking a bunch of people up to Canada to celebrate their birthdays, and that leaves me home alone with my mommy all weekend. I took off days so that I could go, but since I'm not going anymore, I have time to work out, catch up on my reading, and figure out what classes I want to take when I got back to school this summer.

I feel so liberated right now. I don't have anyone holding me back from being who I am anymore. I'm not afraid of being me because there is no one to put me down and make me hate myself. I didn't realize how bad off I was with the people that I was trying to befriend. I was so blind to the fact that I have so many good friends who think I am so awesome and who are fucking amazing to me and I don't need the shady people who use me. People like Linda, Jackie, Margo, Stephanie, and Cat, who have been telling me that I am so much better and who have been fucking saviors to me. They are like sisters to me and they believe in me and never put me down. I don't know how I could have been so blind that they are the kind of people that I want in my life. I don't need people who put me down and who don't genuinely love me for all that I have within me. They respect me and they look out for me and want what is best for me. They want for me the same thing that I want for them, and that is only the best. And then there are people like Otis, Cody, and Brandon R., the people who always know just what to say to make me smile. Otis with his random comments that brighten my entire world, or Brandon just telling me that I'm beautiful. I love the people who are in my life, and I wouldn't trade them for the world.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
