So last night I went for the Siberian album launch and it was great, I picked up another t-shirt & the new CD, talked to Finn for a bit and enjoyed myself immensely.
Anyway, I've heard about the opening band called Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground for a bit now but I've never gotten around to watching them. Yesterday I made it a point to actually get to the venue early and wait for them. And oh my god, they are superb! They have about 10 people on stage, complete with 3 violinists, 1 celloist who looks like Philip Seymour Hoffman, a trumpeteer who looks like Michael Chiklis/Lex Luthor, a keyboardist who looks like someone from Boogie Nights, a bassist who looks like Slash, a guitarist who looks like Ronnie from The Shield and the main guy who looks like Ashton Kutcher.
I actually enjoyed watching them more than Siberian (only because I've seen Siberian about 7 times) - and I'm going to try and get their new release when it comes out next month
