Better Left Unsaid

I've realized yet another reason why I love my parents.

My dad, and my mom to a lesser extent, rarely ask the personally intrusive questions that others will frequently toss out at me.

Rarely, when a situation prompts it, my mom will ask me, quite timidly mind you, "I'm only going to ask this one question, okay? Do you like her?" or other basic questions.

My dad, on the other hand seems to realize that I really am not up for talking about personal things with my parents and keeps conversation to topics such as politics, sports, movies, food, music, and weird shit that happens to people we know or the weird shit that happens in the neighborhood.

Even when they can tell I'm in a lousy mood, they let me be. They know that if there was something I'd like to talk to them about, I would.

I really appreciate this.

I think that I'm going to be writing positive posts like this more now-a-days.
