Finally I am vaguely less work-overloaded (who does this?! i mean honestly, we're 2nd semester seniors, and yet still somehow the work is still being piled on). So, as celebration, I went shopping with nora. Hah, well, the day really started when at 6:09 am (I remember since the first thing I see when I woke up was my alarm clock b/c I somehow rolled with my pillow so that I was sleeping half-way on the nightstand), my mom wakes me up and goes "I just read that Filene's is giving out $15 gift cards to the 1st 300 customers." Filene's opens at 7am. Last time, I did this with Mari, and we were lurching about, sleep deprived but still responding to the allure of Filene's and sales. So, of course I get up, muck about all gross-like and trudge to Filene's with my mom and sister. While there, my mom decided it would be fun to make me try on prom dresses. Magenta tulle and green sausage contraptions later, I am wrapped as a tight as a fat cow in satin and shiny bits, discovering how large my thighs and butt really have become and wondering where all my arm muscle tone has run off to. Probably the same place Sara's 12 lbs went (when I asked Sara after she said, "I lost 12 lbs!", "But...where did it go?" 4 hours later, the shopping expedition begins and then 6 hours later, I am doomed, dead and broke with only $6 dollars to my name. I started the day with $106. Nevertheless, I have benefitted from today with 7 shirts, a skirt, a necklace, a scarf, earrings, a little mirror, new rosebud salve, track jacket, and sunglasses!
I actually had something deep and profound to say, but I got distracted by the abundance of colorful clothing inhabitating my bed, so profoundness gone and I am passed out with exhaustion and soreness from walking around and...shopping.
