snowboarding season has begun...
...and it was sweet. Here's the 411...
- went to Karl's place, grabbed his rail, and went down to the lake to do the rail
- took some pointers as karl put on a rail clinic
- started dialing in some fun stuff
- started to get tired and lazy...right after Karl overshot the rail, I definitely came up short on the ollie, and smacked my board right into the front of the rail...end result: the rail bit the board to the core, but the board fought back and snapped the welds on the rail. we're awesome.
- went back to Karl's place, watched the Leafs get smoked
- made some popcorn, ate Curtis' mom's baking, and watched Gone in 60 Seconds
- got ready to leave, at which point Karl realized we still hadn't watched 'Shakedown' (new snowboarding vid), so we sat down at watched it
- finally decided to call it a night, and i headed back to the cottage
The rail wasn't playing nice tonight
...but I always win in the end
Now all we gotta do is find a new rail...and some base wax while we're at it. Time to pop in a movie I think...good thing I have no class on Fridays this semester...suckers.
