Alright, well I know that I'm having a good vacation at home when I sleep less here than I do when I'm at school. Two more days until Christmas...which is ridiculous, because that means that the vacation is pretty much half done.

To date, the fun has been totally laid back, just the way I wanted it to be...

Friday night I got into the city at about 6:00, and cabbed right over to the church to see some of the local crew. We hung out for a while, got some food, and made plans for Saturday (none of which went down). Friday night yielded some intense (but good) talks with the parents, and a late night phone call that was much needed.

On Saturday, after sleeping for a ridiculous amount of time, I got to hang out with the boys, and pulled a little bit of mission action (see previous 2 posts).

Sunday (as usual) brought around church, and that was a definite highlight in more ways that one. I don't think I know anybody that can claim to have like thirty sets of grandparents and a ridiculous amount of aunts and uncles, but every time I hit up the church at home, I get reminded of how much of a family it really is (and no, we're not inbred). Sunday AM service was pretty amazing. I watched as the speaker (one of the toughest but most kind hearted people I know) totally put his head down on the pulpit in the middle of his sermon, and started to cry, as he talked about what happened to JC in his last days. I totally pray that someday I can have passion like that...seeing his faith come through so real like that just defies description. Intense. I got to go the little bro play hockey on Sunday too, and that kid can hit...it was so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye (not really, but I'm pretty sure I saw one kid crying on the bench after Tim hit him).

Got some Christmas shopping done today (yesterday now I guess), and saw Jord for a little bit. Those crazy bible school boys...I'm surprised he's not married yet, but I guess there's still a semester left for him.

Anyways, it's time for bed. Six hours from now I have to go pick up Big Pete to do some last minute Christmas shopping for our respective mothers, and then I think me and the boys are going to pull out the bikes and head to Durham Forest for the day (no sense wasting the decent weather...it's better than what we were biking in this summer).

Aiiight, bed time.
