Sigh. Me.

You know, I try to please my friends. I try to keep the peace, because I don't like people being upset with me, and I like hurting people even less ( Read more... )

I'm sure she wasn't insinuating that you tailor your appearance to suit her, she was probably just speaking the plain and simple truth.

When I saw your picture on Jihen way-back-when, I commented to Victor that you were "pretty cute." Then again, from everyone else that I saw, there wasn't much competition. In the least.

Regardless, Victor sports a lazy, down to earth look. From what I've seen of you, you sort of have the same look, just instead of button-down shirts, you wear t-shirts, and seemingly take the time to do your hair.

Personally, I find the whole gothic/emo/raver look to be highly unattractive. And while Bethany and / or me are only two girls out of however many populate our planet, I'm sure we're not the only ones with similar opinions.

Besides, its whats on the inside that counts...

But Goth's are still ugly. Period. ;)

Because I have ADD and jump around, I failed to add that the down to earth look is attractive (in my opinion); which was supposed to be the point of my comment.

Lol, I very much appreciate your input.

You were a member at Jihen? I had no idea. Or were you just looking around on Vic's account?

Anyway, the thing is, I'm not really going for a "goth" or "Punk" look, I just really love dark clothing, with chains, buckles, etc. I just think they look awesome and stylish. I don't think I'd ever actually embrace the truly goth look (As I do for Halloween. What with the lipstick, eyeshadow, and excessive piercings. I've just always been attracted to girls who have this style going on, and have always found guys more approachable and friendly when they look this way. I think it's just conditioned me to like the look for myself ( ... )

The ONLY other time I commented on your journal, I signed it as:

-Asphalt aka Laura

or

-Laura aka Asphalt

But yeah, I went that route once. I think I spent more money in Hot Topic on one outfit than I have on my current wardrobe, in its entirety. Totally not worth it, and even though you may find those people more approachable, its not the case with everyone.

It would suck spending $300 on an outfit and making a little kid cry when the look at your, or Neo-goth girls to look at you like you're materialistic. Haha. I'm sort of joking. Sort of.

I recall you commenting, and signing your name, but I don't remember you signing with Asphalt.

I do remember you from the boards though. Vaguely, I remember you, though. I don't think I knew Laura, Vic's girlfriend, and Asphault, the user, where the same person, until now, I had no sense of association between the two names.

Heh, I know what you're talking about. Especially around here. One time, someone came into work dressed slightly alternatively. What with black clothing, maybe black lipstick, chains hanging from their belt, and my coworker turned and looked at me like 'Holy shit, did you see the weirdos that just came in?" You'd think he thought they were looking for children to eat or something.
