The new Lina plushie!
Ever since the new Lina plushie was announced by yafurichao in January, I've hunted down every plushie vendor at every convention I've been to. Finally, at my home con here in Columbus, I found her. :)
This is her next to the old plushie (who I found in ~2007 and rescued from obscurity in a clearance bin!) and Filia, because Filia was already here hangin' out at my desk.
She is much cuter than the old Lina, and made better, too. Old Lina does win in one respect, in that she has her two moles on her forehead under her hair, and New Lina does not (I even looked under her headband- no moles!)
Strangely, though, she has a hang tag that is I think exactly the same as Old Lina (I can't compare b/c my cat chewed the old one off... argh). It says "Slayers Next", but has all the Funimation and Kanzaka/Araizumi licensing info on the back. Her tush tag says Slayers Next, too. Weird!
Several people can tell you, when I saw her hanging in the dealer's room, I about flipped. Sadly, the vendor said I was the only one who asked about her all weekend. :(
