Man, it's been a while.
I just got back from visiting my family in Washington a couple of days ago. I had a nice little 3 day vacation. It was my Mom's 50th birthday party (her actual birthday was just yesterday), so my Aunt had all the family and some of her friends over. There was a lot of yummy food. Mmm! My brother and sister were there (thank goodness) otherwise I probably would have been bored out of my mind. I mean, of course I love my family and all, but most of them are pretty old and there are only so many stories I can listen to about how to stay regular, or which body part is starting to ache now.
But I got my Xmas presents from my Mom, Auntie, and Granny (several gift cards and some cash), but I'm SOOOO mad because I didn't have my Mom and Grandma's gift to give them. I ordered their stuff a few weeks ago, and it said it would be delivered no later than the 17th, which was the day I left, but that stuff always comes sooner, so I thought it would be ok. Well, I just got the package this afternoon. On the 22nd? WTF? I got an email on the 15th saying that they just mailed it, even though it was ordered on the 3rd.
I'm excited about Christmas. It's not going to be near as extravagant as previous Christmases, but it'll be great anyway. It's not about the price of the gifts anyway, right?! Even though we've been going through some tough times here, I'm just thankful for the things I do have. I have a roof over my head (a nice one too!), a good car, and most importantly someone that loves me and that I love more than anything. Live really ain't so bad, ya know?
I saw the Nutcracker yesterday. Katy's Mom got tickets from a friend, so she invited me or Katy (she only had one extra ticket), and Katy had to work, so I won! It was a really good production, and overall I liked it. There were a few points that were kind of drawn out, but I still enjoyed it. I had only seen one other ballet before this, and I was SOOOOO bored at it, that I wasn't sure how I would like this one, but I liked it. I'm sure it had to do with the fact that I actually understood what was happening in this one. And of course I had heard a lot of the music. I'm definitely more into musicals than ballet though.
So, I downloaded a Finding Nemo mood theme for LiveJournal, but I have NO IDEA how to make it work. There are directions, but I totally don't understand them. I'm comepletely retarded when it comes to computer stuff. If anyone has any "Up-loading mood themes for Dummy's" instructions, it would be greatly appreciated.
Man, I hate that there is NOTHING good on TV these days. Everything is a repeat. I have been watching Deal or No Deal. That show's kinda fun.
Ok, I'm off to go wrap some gifts! :)
