Oh man, he really got epic when this season came.

These must have been the spoilers you were talking about when he got more screentime in season two, right?

Yeeeeep. I totally didn't expect it at all, which was a nice surprise when I first saw him! I just had this moment of 'oh no they--oh shit yes they did this is awesome'

That seems to be a common reaction in this show. At least, I've had it a lot. With the character development he's gotten and the flashbacks in this episode, I can't wait to see where he goes. Actually, I'm interested in finding out how all the returning characters got where they are -- the ones who weren't covered in Five Fates, anyway.

He gets to be pretty sweet, I think! And then there's Rou, who finally shapes up and stops failing for once in another few episodes. One of the scenes he has later was my definite fav. in this season.

Rou not failing is a rare occasion, but it is epic whenever it happens. I'd actually put him as one of the main characters, but this show doesn't really have main characters, does it?

Yeah which is a nice thing, I think! I know we don't really have anybody specific, but its like we get to see everything as a whole for once without the story focusing properly on a specific individual. Kind of a bit like B*ccano!.

Of course, then we get the merchandise, and the fifty-some Rikku figures. But then, merchandise is always a bit confused about the intentions of the original work, so whatever.

I wish there were more Rou things myself. :c He never gets enough liking for mechanise, apparently.

Well, there was that one game prize figure with him linefacing with Chii on his head, but I see what you're getting at. He needs more stuff.

Oh yeah that figure is adorable. *A* Its pretty much my fave after the one with his gang of animals and the awesome one with Falco Lombardi.

Still, yeah, he really could do with more.

There are always garage kits, I guess, but I couldn't make my own figures. Too much work and too much time. XD

Oh I tried that once too. It... didn't turn out too well at all.

But speaking of Rou, apparently there's going to be a proper anthology for him coming out! Short stories about him and stuff in his childhood and present and IDEK, and apparently they're including some AUs as well. *A*

What, really? Are they doing it for any other characters?

Apparently! But Rou is going to be the first to come out since there's reputed to be a lot of stuff for him. I've seen spoilers and there's a couple of stories about him dealing with things in the timeskip. It looks like its gonna be pretty awesome.

As if there weren't enough timeskip stuff already, but that's awesome. I'm going to have to check these out. (Okay, I say that about every piece of EU -- and I almost have seen everything -- but hey!)
