Probably after the above thread? son_of_time March 26 2011, 08:57:33 UTC
While he hadn't responded to her network post, Sam was definitely aware of what happened and he had kept an eye on the responses. It looked like Bee was handling things.

So it was much later when he headed for her room, he didn't know if she'd be there, but he could wait.

Hex was there, though anyone passing by may have not known it, as she was being uncharacteristically quiet. She hadn't even had a randomly chaotic burst of laughter all day.

Though anyone who'd bothered to peek in would have quickly discovered why. First, she was no longer a Virus. Second, she was sitting cross legged on the floor of her room, and did not appear to be moving at all.

The door was unlocked, saving him the trouble of having to pick it. Sam quietly slipped inside and raised an eyebrow at her Sprite form. The last time this happened, half the ship had to be destroyed first. This didn't bode well for things on the network. An unconscious Hex looked like even worse news.

Cautiously, he called out to her. "...Hex?"

Maybe next time. =p so_many_moods April 4 2011, 03:01:02 UTC
The Sprite opened her eyes, and blinked, still not quite used to the sensation. It usually took her a while, especially when she had been out of Sprite mode for a long period of time.

When she saw Sam, she smiled widely, a little too widely, and a light little laugh escaped her lips. Her arm came up in a little wave. "Hello, cheeky. Miss me?"

He managed a small smile when she spoke. "Don't tell anyone, but just a little."

Sam stepped closer and crouched down so they were at a more even height. "You gave us quite a scare there."

It was probably a testament to Hex's Sprite form that she did not immediately laugh. Instead, she almost appeared a bit concerned. "Did I? Oh, I do apologize. I didn't mean to, you know. Crashing was not exactly what I'd intended, though it was a fascinating experience!"

The lack of laughter was immediately noticed and noted. Sam did have a suspicion that the change in form meant more than just a change in appearance from the last time he saw that form.

He cupped his chin with his hand and tilted his head slightly in question. "What were you trying to do anyway?"

"Oh, nothing much, dear," she said a little flippantly, sounding a little like her old self. She shook her head a little and surprised herself with the fact that she once again had hair. "Only Infect the entire Net."

A faint smirk crossed her lips, and she chuckled a little darkly. "It worked."

Sam couldn't help but let his surprise show.

"Really? The whole thing?" He didn't think that such a thing was possible.

She laughed again, though not quite as crazily as she might have done otherwise. "Of course."

Winking, her grin widened. "Shall I tell you a secret?" She raised a hand to the side of her mouth, as if telling him a very large secret indeed. "It's what I was Redesigned for. And I do enjoy being thorough, dear."

Keeping up an act was simple enough, he'd spent most of his life doing so. It was dealing with things that he found difficult. So Sam merely hummed and looked appropriately interested. He needed information even if he wasn't sure what he was going to do with it.

"Oh do tell more."

Hex grinned knowingly. "Oh, it was really quite simple. I used my Viral Program to create a Search function, and decoded through the network looking for any and all information on that man you're so interested in. And when I couldn't find anything too intriguing by his name alone, and Searched for his vocal patterns. And then the fun really began!"

Looks like he hit the jackpot. Sam straightened up and leaned forward eagerly.

"So, what did you find?"
