This was going to be interesting.
At the sight of the plasma blast, the little powder monkey took half a second to hitch the gourd a little higher up on his back before stepping out from his hiding spot to confront these creatures.

"Kill them quickly!" the tallest one rasped, gesturing with an oversized, clawed hand. "There's no time to lose, fools!"
His eyes fell upon the slight figure that carried the strange jug on his back, and immediately narrowed. "I'll begin with you." He towered over Gaara, half again the young man's height. Tendrils of darkness began to swirl around his hand, building up speed and size for a second or two before he cupped that hand and flung the ball of darkness at Gaara. It was a magical attack, and would drain away energy from whatever it touched.

The dark energy was thrown at him, and the sand shield reacted immediately, rearing up to catch the attack. The two forces fought a few moments, before the sand shield slowly slackened and crumbled with a dull hiss. Gaara watched the sand, looking slightly astonished, before glowering at the satyr. This fight may prove to be more difficult than anticipated.

He spotted Gaara, perhaps twenty-feet from where Lee had hidden himself, and narrowed his eyes as the satyr attack. He did his best not to cheer when Gaara's sand blocked the first, but the second attack... Lee could not stay still another moment.
Lee was on his feet and darting forward, nearly invisible as he rushed forward, sliding to a halt that kicked up sand as he blocked the satyr's way, grabbing the creatures arm in a strong grip, eyes narrowed. "You shall not hurt him," he practically snarled, squeezing the arm in his hand.

"Lee," the redhead said, mostly out of pure surprise. Then, once he recomposed himself, added sternly, "That was reckless."

The blackness that coated its claws was not poison, but it would drain energy if the claws broke skin, making its target tired.
Reply
"You will not." The redhead seethed, his voice soft and dangerous. A tone he hadn't used since long before he joined the Convoy.

His eyes widened as the sand shot up to block the satyr's next move, his eyes narrowed quickly after. He tightened his grip on the arm he held, fingers curling as he crushed the satyr's arm slowly, the creaking of bone loud in his ear. Lee never reveled in pain, never liked bringing about death, but he was a fighter and this creature had already tried to hurt Gaara once. That alone took away all the guilt Lee might have had about harming the satyr.

It needed its arms for its magic. Without them... "Curse you," it rasped, "curse you both!"
Lee was the only target within physical striking range. Quickly, trying to regain its focus through the agony in its arms, it kicked at Lee with a hoofed foot.

But even as strong as he was, he was still vulnerable in the places that counted, and before he could stop it, the satyr had landed a solid kick to his groin, forcing Lee to double over and let go of the creatures now broken arm. He let out a grunt, squinting one eye up at the satyr, half glaring.

Eyes narrowed into thin slits, the sand holding the satyr's wrist snapped through the bone on Gaara's command. Then, within a few seconds, more sand rushed forward and steadily worked on encasing as much of the beast as it could; starting with its legs and slithering upward. By the time the sand stopped the satyr was trapped up to its armpits in the shifting grains; which weren't squeezing or crushing (yet), but holding the satyr firmly in place while Gaara shot it a glare that could freeze blood and wither flora.

It met Gaara's glare. Though it was injured and knew that unless another satyr stepped in, it was doomed, it met Gaara's glare with a feral snarl. "You'll never defeat us all," it growled.

He glanced back at Gaara, getting carefully to his feet before falling into a fighting stance once more.
