It was strange. Rikku was excited to be at Licere. It was fun, and hot springs were always good for relaxation.

But for some reason, all she could think of what it would be even better if Shuuhei were here with her. Stupid Shuuhei, taking up her Rikku-time.

But she did miss him. And the hot springs were segregated, so no going and bothering Ichigo or Kimi.

At that point, Rikku could hear a creak from the bamboo wall dividing the women's bath from the men's bath.

Mimino Kurumi had come here to relax, all right. Still, when there weren't that many people in the particular spring that she happened to be in, her mind began to wander to terrible ideas she'd seen in books or radio plays. On top of that, well, these were hot springs.

So, a popping noise and a puff of smoke later, a small, pink, furry thing could be seen trying to scale the wall to the men's bath.

Rikku didn't even have to look. "C'mon, Milk, you'll get thrown out if you get caught."

"I'll pretend to be a fuzzy wall decoration ~miru-- ah!" Milk's paw slipped and she fell, flailing, straight into the water with a splash as big as she was. She floated to the top, flailing and coughing. "Stupid wall ~miru!"

"It's not stable," Rikku pointed out, giggling a little. "You okay?" She moved over to the tiny pink thing, offering a hand.

Milk attached onto Rikku's hand, coughing up water and shaking droplets off of her head. "I wouldn't have even tried it if there were enough other people to notice me climbing the wall ~miru," she coughed. "Besides, it looked like fun ~miru."

Rikku shook Milk a little, trying to get her dry. "Why would you want to peek, anyway? They're all covered," she pointed out. "You wouldn't see much of anything."

"Why not? It's a bold and daring adventure ~miru!", Milk said in her best impression of Haruhi. She sighed and pointed to her right. "My towel and the Mirror are behind that rock ~miru."

With a giggle, Rikku put Milk up on her shoulder and headed over to the rock.

"No, it's a silly adventure that got you soaked. You look like a drowned puppy."

"Hmph." Milk crossed her little arms, dripping water everywhere. "I don't look anything like a puppy ~miru. Have you ever seen a puppy that looked like me ~miru?" She hopped down and started to towel herself off, her fur standing on end.

"Bunny, then. Some drowned cute animal," she said. "And some puppies have really huge, floppy ears, so..." She shrugged, sinking back down into the hot springs. Why wasn't she feeling more...Rikku-y?

A popping noise and cloud of smoke later, Kurumi leaned over the side of the rock. "Rikku, are you doing okay?"

"Huh?" Crud, was she that obvious? "Oh, uh...yeah, I'm fine." Rikku smiled at Kurumi, hoping that was enough to stop the questions.

"Okay!" Kurumi propped her head up on her arms. "I really needed this trip. That ghost town was the most disgusting thing ever, wasn't it?"

"Ugh, yes. I left my old ship a grand total of once before I moved to the Convoy," Rikku said, making a face. "...That one time just happened to be when Ichigo and Kimi started kissing on the deck of their old ship."

Milk's face went red and she burst into a fit of giggles. "What? That really, actually happened? I thought it might just be another rumour!"
