"Er," Sophie hesitated. it had been a rather long time after all. "I'd be delighted to... but don't you think we had better find some paper first?" Why would they want paper when they could draw perfectly well on the deck? "So we can take it to people and show them when we're finished?" She suggested cheerfully, hoping that appealed to them.
"Okay!" two small voices agreed in unison. "Though everybody-" "-can see it here, too." Well, until rain washed it off - those pens weren't exactly designed for writing on hard surfaces.
"But it would look much better on paper," Sophie assured them. "And besides, we wouldn't want some nasty crewman to come and wash away all your hard work, right?"
She held a hand out to each of them, beckoning them and thinking fast. Where could she find enough paper to keep the two of them occupied for at least a little while. That wasn't destructive. ....Too destructive. Then she could have some time to figure out how to fix this/
They held their hands wide, attempting to indicate the size of paper they required for such an endeavor. That done, they somewhat reluctantly let go of each other to grab Sophie's hands.
"Of course," she readily agreed, thinking fast. "Now let's go find some!" There was pattern paper in her work area, but that was thin and would tear fast... perhaps the kitchens? If nothing else... there has to be white tablecloths someplace. If she had to, she'd whip up a new one once they were out of everyone's hair and Long Night was over and she wouldn't accidentally magic the dratted thing.
Or maybe they'd get distracted by something else along the way. She could only hope.
"Okay!" they chorused in unison. If they had paper, they could give their drawings to their master, and he could stay warm and tucked in bed. And they could give drawings to their other new friends, too! There were most definitely Possibilities here.
The twins glanced up from their masterpiece, seemingly oblivious to the admonishment in her voice.
"'Nee-san!"
"Do you want to draw with us?"
