"Bu-ling's making noise!" She proudly showed off the vuvuzela with little flowers painted on it. "To scare away monsters, 'cause it's Long Night. It's fun! Do you wanna try?"
There was a pair of excited, slightly amazed grins. Humans had the funnest ideas, sometimes! They gave her enthusiastic nods in answer to the question.
They nodded, and then took the vuvuzela, each one using one hand to hold it. Taking a deep breath, the twin on the right gave the instrument a hard blow. The resultant noise was louder than what one would expect from someone so small - but they were storm spirits after all.
Bu-ling pumped her fist in the air. "Awesome nano da! You got it! Hey, we should find other stuff to make noise with! Then no monsters are gonna come to the ship at all, and everyone's gonna be proud of us no da."
They presented the vuvuzela back to her, and nodded in agreement of this plan. The question was, how to make noise? They could call up a storm - but it was more fun to do things the human way. They turned to each other, conversing silently between themselves, before turning back to Bu-ling.
"Hmm..." Bu-ling rubbed her chin and suddenly brightened up. "C'mon! Bu-ling thinks there's stuff in the prop room that can make lots of noise!" She ran to the doors, An-nin sprinting after, their destination on the inside of the ship.
They nodded eagerly and followed her into the ship. They'd had a glimpse of the prop room, from their master's memories, and it looked like it had lots of fun things.
Bu-ling and An-nin led the way to the prop room and swung the door open, taking in the racks and shelves of awesome stuff. Bu-ling climbed up the shelves in a manner that was probably not safe and grabbed a fake gun. "D'you think this makes noise?"
They wouldn't have consented to be bound into a gun after all. Glancing around, they saw a pair of blunted prop swords. Each twin took one, and after a glance at each other, clanged them together experimentally.
Bu-ling's eyes lit up. "Awesome nano da! Let's find more stuff like that!" She tossed the prop gun back where it went and rummaged around in the closet. "Maybe they have cymbals and drums and other cool stuff."
The two prop swords were placed on the ground as 'possibly's as they split up to dive in the shelves of props. A few minutes later, one emerged holding up a pair of small hand cymbals as a prize.
"Good job no da!" Bu-ling jumped into a pile of unsorted items and came up in an adult-sized military uniform jacket -- immediately flashier and with larger accents than the real thing, and clearly meant as a stage costume -- and with an eyepatch over her eye. "Look, look. Bu-ling is Captain-ojiichan." She hopped out of the pile, nearly tripping on the edge of the coat.
"We're Sougyo no Kotowari!" They chorused in unison. Costumes? This is what they always wore. When they were human, anyway.
"You're-"
"-Bu-ling-chan-"
"-right?"
It was hard to tell when one started to speak and the other stopped - their voices were identical, and there were no pauses when they switched.

In unison, the twins gave her a polite little bow and warm, friendly smiles.
"It's nice-
"-to meet you!"
Well, meet her again, really, but she didn't know that.
"We've been exploring!"
"What about you?"

"We need more stuff, then!"

The twins examined the prop gun.
"Hmm."
"Maybe."
"But it's-"
"-boring."
