Characters: Gin and Edgeworth
Content: Gin decides to meet with an old friend before reporting to the Goliath
Setting: Edgeworth's apartment (much to his chagrin)
Time: Early morning, the day after the Kawroup recovery period ends
Edgeworth exited his bedroom, dressed sharply in his officer's uniform. Everything he needed was already on the ship, which meant that he could avoid a lot of unnecessary preparation, eat a simple breakfast, and report to the Goliath right away. While he didn't look forward to returning, the holiday had put him on edge, giving him much more free time than he liked. Edgeworth did not do well staying idle; he needed something to keep himself busy, and to keep his mind sharp.
Adjusting his jacket, he walked briskly down the hallway to where the living room and the dining room were. However, something - or rather, someone - made him stop in his tracks. Somebody was lounging on his couch, looking obnoxiously natural as he smiled at nothing in particular. Edgeworth stared at him slackjawed, before regaining his composure. "What are you doing here?" he demanded sharply, wondering why Gin was here of all places (not to mention how the hell he was even able to get in).
