Bang was perfectly comfortable with places that had a certain lack of class. They tended to not mind as much when you left stuff broken and people bleeding and/or dead on the floor.

She was quite contentedly sitting at a table that was, for the moment, empty. Oh, it hadn't been, when she'd arrived, but the former occupants seemed all too eager to depart when she'd asked not-so-nicely. Her feet were up on the table, her saber was at her hip, and a very strong drink was in her hand. Life was good for the moment.

Bars, Ryuuki discovered in the time since he'd left Bellcius, were great places to find information.

He walked up to a woman sitting alone at a table and asked while presenting the crude, kindergarten quality picture of his brother, "Excuse me, have you seen this person?"

Bang barely looked at the drawing. Instead, she focused her attention on the man so rude as to interrupt her when she was enjoying herself. She slammed her tankard on the table so violently that some of her drink sloshed out.

"Excuse yourself," she grumbled. "Can't a girl just drink in peace?! Geez, my first down time in a while and I get constantly bothered by men sitting in my seat and pretty boys asking me foolish questions!"

For his part, all Ryuuki did was blink in confusion.

"Um...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bother you. Only," He soldiered on, believing that an explanation would fix things, "Only, I'm looking for my brother and I was wondering if you've seen him...?" Though his voice became noticeably quieter the longer he spoke.

What, was this kind stupid or something? Why hadn't he beat it, yet? "Kid, I don't care if you're looking for Joseph Falls. Either sit down and drink something or stop bothering me!"

With a sigh that was far more dramatic than necessary, the ex-pirate glanced at the badly drawn picture. "...Kind of a bad picture to be using if you're trying to find someone, isn't it?"

Not stupid, per say...

Ryuuki sat down, though he didn't have anything to drink.

At her question, he looked at the picture then back at her, "But it's the only one I have left..." With an expression not unlike a puppy that had just been reprimanded.

...Feeling a little bad (but not really, because hey, she's Bang) she gestured to one of the sadly-dressed barmaids. They didn't usually make table rounds here, but Bang either had some prior pull with this place or she was just that intimidating.

"What do you wanna drink, kid?"

No one is completely immune to the sad puppy eyes. ;D anonymousryuuki October 9 2010, 20:37:36 UTC
"I'm not a kid." Why did so many people call him a kid anyway? He's nineteen!

He didn't exactly drink much so he paused thoughtfully, before making his decision. "I'll have whatever you're having...?"

Which, if he knew how strong her drink was, he would've known he'd just made a Bad Decision.

"Hah!" Bang laughed and clapped the not-kid on the back. "You'd better not be if you want this stuff! You a strong drinker?"

For his sake, he'd better hope so. Else this was going to get very fun, very quickly.

Ryuuki had never been asked that, mostly because he had never gone drinking with anyone before. But somehow, it felt like to answer negative would be admitting to being a kid.

"...maybe."

With her patented smirk plastered on her face, she just laughed. The bar girl arrived with his drink, and slid it over to him.

"Bottoms up, then, sweetheart."

He stared at her blankly at that. What did 'bottoms up' mean?

He still picked up his drink though (it was what you did with a drink after all) and drank. Then promptly grimaced when he tasted it, though he did not spit it back out. Not that he wasn't tempted.

"Very strong." He managed weakly.

She did not bother holding back a laugh at the face he pulled. "Course it is. That's the only way to drink it."

Geez, if he honestly expected that Bangladesh DuPree did not drink alcohol that could floor a concrete elephant then he was even more foolish than he looked.

Which was not quite fair since he'd never even heard of Bangladesh DuPree (he didn't get out much). Though the assessment itself was hard to refute.

"I...see."

Still, he had ingested worse things before.

The second mouthful was easier.

"What is this, anyway?"

Rolling her eyes a bit, she shrugged. "Eh, not actually sure. I always just ask for the strongest drink in the house."

She smirked a bit and gulped down another bit of her large tankard. "It's not half bad, really."

Hope you don't mind. >:D Feel free to stick before or after things with Ryuuki. theschmotone October 16 2010, 04:49:47 UTC
He hadn't been able to join Bang right away, but Dimo hoped to make up for lost time. He walked up to the table that she was sitting at, a new switchblade held behind his back in his right hand. Placing his left on her shoulder, he leered at her and said, "Dis seat open, sveethot, or does I gots to look zomevhere elze for a goot time tonight?"
