Zoë appreciated the lack of hassle as well. When the Captain started a barfight, it meant she had to back him up, and that meant she'd be cleaning blood out of the butt of her rifle again.

All in all, an enormous inconvenience.

Mal nodded in agreement. Maybe he was worrying over nothing, but truth be told it was hard not to, considering how often things went wrong for them.

"That won't necessarily stop anyone else from mucking it up," he replied. "Let's hope she's been as discrete as she wants us to be."
