Content: Hijikata and Zura Katsura find their lives linked by the strangest things imaginable. Of course, they both find it very hard to accept that this even happens.
Setting: A ramen shop somewhere in Bellcius.
Time: During the timeskip... somwhere in April or something or I guess.

Things had settled to a manageable calm ever since that rather big hoohaa that had happened around the city a while ago. Since he was on probation and not allowed to leave the city, Hijikata had busied himself with helping the authorities in their investigation. But now that that was all over and done with, the man found himself with nothing else to do besides trying to make do with Chi along with trying to deal and figure out Lucied's recent... change, for a lack of a better fitting term.
Well, not that he was trying to think too much into it now. Now that he had too much free time on his hands once more (one would think this probation business might be more troublesome than it was) Hijikata had decided to pay one of the usual shops he frequented a visit while getting his lunch at the same time. The officer wasn't one to go into the city all that often, but the place had enough of a special meaning to him that he did make the effort to go there.
Besides, he had the time now, so he might as well there for a bit. Which was of course why he was at the entrance now, sliding open the door as he stepped into the place and headed towards the countertop seats where he plopped himself there without another word. "One bowl of the usual."
A response came soon after that, the voice belonging to one who Hijikata knew well over many years in his life. "Coming right up!"
That done, the samurai fished out a cigarette and lit it up, taking a drag as he waited for his order to come.
