It had been a long day. After returning to the Serenity from the blotched delivery mission, Hisagi had dropped Kazeshini off in his room, wiped the worst of the sweat and muck off before heading to the infirmary, then to the kitchens for food. He was on his way back to his room with some leftovers, intent on cleaning his blade and fixing some smoke capsules when he realized he was not alone in the hallway.

It had been many times Repede encountered a bunch of hallways. Mostly, he would ignore some ordinary humans, who tried to take his attention. When he reached somewhere along the hallway, he suddenly perked his head up and noticed a man with a scar face.

At first, Repede made a weird face and tilted his pipe. He could tell this person pretty good in battles, but again he tried to ignore what coming in his mind.

ROFL at Repede's reaction to tattoo~ XD reapingwinds June 5 2010, 01:33:29 UTC
Was that canine smoking a pipe?! and did it scowl at him? After he got over that, he realized the unique color the dog/wolf creature had, along with the metal chain and belt that decorated its body. Hisagi blinked before he squat down, adjusting the package, destination momentarily forgotten. Well, he guess people aboard the Serenity kept pretty interesting pets.

Reaching out slowly, he offered a hand for the dog to sniff, intent on checking the chain/collar-like thing around its neck. Maybe he should offer it something to eat...?

"Are you lost?"

His one eye glared as the man approached him. Great, this man tried to be nice with him, but he controlled himself not get pissed so sudden. Once Hisagi offered his hand, Repede stared right to his eyes. Of course, Repede won't accept the sweaty hand. In fact, he will sneeze right after he sniffs it.

Repede didn't reply to the question, he just turned his head aside instead and let out a short growl.

This dog creature does not seem to like him much, and the glaring eye seemed more intelligent then any dogs he'd run into. This canine seemed to have lived through some harsh times, if the scar? on its face was anything to go by. It was also interesting to see the small dagger attached to the belt...

Hisagi shrugged at its reaction, not really bothered by the dismissal; after all, it's not like dogs can talk, right? There was really no way it could have answered him anyhow.

Still, he retracted his hand, respecting the warning growl, before twisting about; it seems like there is no identification on the metal chains, after all, so there was no point. Resting most of his weight now on the heels of his feet, he stared back at the dog, wondering aloud.

"hm. Wonder who you belong to?"

Repede relieved when this man backed off. He still kept his eye on him and at the same time, he took the scent from Hisagi, which makes him easier to recognize him for the next time he met. Then he sat on the floor in the middle of hallways.

Repede would ignore the question, but since Hisagi was a part of the Serenity crews, he could borrow some information from him. Without looking at Hisagi's face, he checked around him before he speaks.

"...Someone who worked here." He made a short reply.

From his squatting position, he fell back and landed on his ass, shocked. Logically speaking, wha- Did that dog just...talk!? Really, it should not be such a weird concept to grasp, since he realized that there were humanoid-like fox/weasel creatures that can easily walk on hind legs, fight for the crew on top of doing thier duties, and talk without much of a fuss.

"... o..kay...?"

Dimly, he thought they must make an amusing scene, in the middle of the Serenity hallway. Still, he sat up, able to compose himself. Somewhat.

"Good luck finding them, then?" Hisagi managed to offer.

Repede tried his best to burst out a laughter. He witnessed many humans with shocking faces. The worst thing happened to some of them, they screamed and ran away. He shook his head, still grinning before he turned back to Hisagi.

"I rather have a better luck if you ever heard about a person named Yuri." He tilted his pipe up.

He ran the name through his mind a few times, frowning. Maybe he'd talked to the guy before...? Nah. That does not seam likely. Was this Yuri person at the warehouse?

"ah, sorry. Guess you have bad luck, then."

Climbing back on his feet, he readjusted his grip on the package, laughing slightly. in retrospect, it was have been pretty amusing; his reaction to a talking dog wolf, that is.

"... if you don't mind me asking, are you a dog crossed with a wolf?"

So, Hisagi hadn't heard the name or either met him. Repede wasn't sure whether it is good or bad, but it is the best not to let him know about Yuri. He nodded understood after heard the answer.

The second question was a bit challenging to him. Humans might mistake their eyes about his type. He shook his head before he replied back. "As you see here, young man. I'm certainly a canine. There's nothing to do with wolf, it's because I..." And he paused.

He looked to his eyes again. "Have you ever heard about Husky dog?"

Hisagi leaned against the wall, thinking.

Husky, huh? "I've only heard of it in passing; never really have the chance to see them in person before." He shrugged; he had been lucky with the military in not having the displeasure of being stationed at a cold enough place for long enough amounts of time to have seen any in person.

"... So you are a dog...?" though technically a statement, it somehow came out more as a question, instead. "What should I refer to you as?"

Repede closed his eye. Does he need to explain everything? "Check on the books." He does seem to be smart but sometimes being rude.

Looks like he hadn't introduced yet, after talking so far. Even it's awkward for a dog to ask human's name. Giving his own name to a crew isn't dangerous after all. "You can call me Repede. And you're?"

"Alright, alright. I'll stop bugging you about it," He was more amused and intrigued then irritated at being ordered around by Repede. Still, he made a mental note to read up on the subject, anyway.

"Hisagi Shuuhei, Airman. Nice to meet you, Repede." he offered the dog a half bow, unsure of the proper way to greet talking dogs-- it was not like he had any experience with this before.

"If there's anything you need in the future, don't hesitate to find me." He'd held up the poor guy long enough. "Good luck finding Yuri; if I'll be sure to pass the message along if I run into them."

Not really Yuri's friend, but surprisingly Repede found his first person who can trust in the ship. Repede nodded to the tall one, before he headed to the path where he supposed to go.

"It would be much faster if just me to find you. And I'd really appreciate having a small talk. Good luck with your work too, Hisagi." Repede slowly headed away to the other hallways, but halted and turned his head back to Hisagi. "If you mind keeping this in private? I rarely talk to any humans."

About to turn away, Hisagi laughed at the request. No doubt any future interaction Repede have with any crewmates would prove entertaining.

"No problem!"
