Door ajar or not, Flynn was not one to enter without knocking. But... he could spare a few moments watching the princess read before doing so, he supposed. He hadn't written to let her know he was coming to Erealia (he usually wrote her letters instead of using the journals. She seemed to like them more), so he was curious as to how she would react.

He finally knocked, smiling. "Lady Estellise?"

It wasn't that Estelle wasn't grateful for the visit. In fact, she'd be thrilled to see him -- once she tore her eyes away from the novel, and that was always a feat and a half. There was some irony in her having such a short attention span, and yet, she could easily get drawn into a book like it was the most interesting thing she would ever read.

She exhaled softly, gingerly turning a page.

Flynn snorted, amused and slightly insulted. Well, at least it was a good hobby. Better then some at least. He pondered knocking again, but something told him she wouldn't hear it either. So instead he entered, closing the door behind him and approaching her seat. he wasn't wearing his heavy boots or armor, so he didn't clank and thud as he moved, letting him get close enough to lean forward, close to her head.

"I'm honored you're so excited to see me, M'lady."

Blinking as if woken from a deep trance, Estelle looked up and directly into Flynn's eyes, lighter blue meeting an ocean. All of one second passed before her face lit up with a pleasant smile.

"Oh, Flynn!" She pawed around for her bookmark, finding it very unnecessary to dog-ear pages; that would ruin the book! The slim feather was gently placed between the pages, and the girl closed her novel for another day, setting it on the opposite arm of her chair.

"When did you get here?" This time, all of her attention was focused on him.

He chuckled, craning to see the title of the book she was reading. He didn't get to read as often as he'd like nowadays: back during the Academy he'd do so right before bed. Now he was lucky if he slept at all. All his reading now was paperwork.

"Less then an hour ago. I'm surprised no one told you a ship had arrived." But he honestly wasn't. Someone probably had, but she just hadn't heard.

"Everyone's been very busy lately," she informed him, but not somberly, as she got to her feet and smoothed out her dress. There seemed to be more that Estelle wanted to say, but rather than dwelling on the topic any longer, she brightened up and clutched her hands to her breast.

"Oh, I'm so happy you're here! You have to tell me all about your journey!"

Rather than offering him a bed or something to eat or drink, the young girl took hold of one of his hands with both of hers and stepped backwards to lead him to the couch. When the back of her knees hit the cushions, she lowered down gently, and patted the place next to her, smiling expectantly.

He allowed himself to be led, a sheepish smile on his face. he liked coming to visit with Estelle, and he knew it made her happy to hear more about the outside world. But the girl certainly got over-excited. It was... kinda cute.

"Well, I doubt it'll be as exciting as last time. No pirates or the like for awhile now." He sat, sighing at the plushness of the seat. Erealians sure did know how to live.
