Vash had been unconscious ever since he had passed out on Ryuzaki yesterday. He had even slept through the doctors working on him, and had only woke up an hour ago thanks to the grace of some wonderful painkillers. Vash was all bandaged up under the loose clothes he'd been put in, still lounging in bed with the sheets tucked around his waist. The lack of his left arm probably looked the most alarming, though it was actually of the least importance right now. He supposed someone had whisked it away so it wouldn't scatter gears everywhere.

He was still a bit tired, and achey. Ryuzaki had been right about him needing a hospital... though now Vash couldn't be entirely sure that he had hallucinated all of that. His boyfriend rushing to his rescue was very romantic and all, but... what about that stuff about him being a detective? It couldn't be true, could it? He was starting to think it might've been some wishful thinking on the part of his subconscious. If Ryuzaki had rode up on a horse, then he would've known it for sure.

Well, being confined to bed meant he'd have plenty of time to puzzle it out.
