This had overall been a very successful day. The hot springs were a lot of fun, especially after the stress lately, and what was more, the kitchen had been unguarded at just the right moment for Milk to pop into her true form, break into the pantry, and drag off a small bag of sweets. Now in her human form so she could carry them easier, she was sneaking down the hall with her back against the wall, hoping not to be noticed.

This was in all fact very noticeable.

Noticeable or not, Isshin had a very good sight when it came to searching for his son, and it only took him a few seconds down the hall before he encountered the sneaking Milk, who he greeted with rousing enthusiasm.

"Why hello there, miss!" the man started as he bellowed right behind her, sounding like the Very Happy Man that he was as he hurried up to catch up with the other, Hikari lagging behind somewhat. "A fine day we're having today now, eh?"

Kurumi flailed and nearly let go of her prize. As it was, some of her carefully stolen chocolates flew everywhere, with at least half still remaining in the bag. She turned around and glared at the newcomers.

"What are -- don't tell me you really are invaders here to steal our food."

"Wha--" the man started, somewhat caught by surprise at that question; he quickly recovered however, and was soon flashing his smile once more. "Why, of course not! I wouldn't think of doing anything like that!" The Silvana did serve rather good food after all, so there was no reason for him to do something like that! Besides, stealing was so very wrong.

"Good." Kurumi put her hands on her hips and tried to ignore the chocolate mess; she'd pick it up later. "Who are you, anyway? Did you come here to get someone's autograph?"

Oh, right. He had forgotten to introduce himself! How silly of him - though at least, that was a mistake he could rectify quite easily.

"The name's Isshin!" the man went, grinning. "Kurosaki Isshin. A pleasure to meet you, Miss...?"

"Kurumi," she replied with little thought. "Mimino Kurumi. That's my name."

A pause. "Wait, you're not related to Ichigo, are you?"

What, didn't his son tell them about his wonderful, wonderful father? How could he?? Now this was something that he needed to correct, pronto!

"Why, of course I am!" he responded with one of the biggest, shiniest grins ever imaginable. "I'm his very precious and wonderful father!"

Kurumi's eye twitched a bit. As much as she hated Ichigo, she could see why he wouldn't tell them about his father. This guy was nuts.

"You aren't much like him," she said, barely biting back a "but just as annoying".

Despite the fact that Isshin knew perfectly well what was it that Milk was talking about, the man still played the oblivious card. Letting a thoughtful expression cross his features, the man curled a hand under his chin and tapped on it most thoughtfully. "Really? But I've been told that he has my eyebrows, at the very least..."

Kurumi made a face. "Whatever. As long as you're not here to steal our food or try to kill us, I don't care why you're here." At the last bit, her hand instinctively went to the... hand mirror? in the holster on her skirt belt.

"Of course not!" Isshin returned all-too cheerfully before he blinked when Milk reached to her holster--a mirror? Now that was something you didn't get to see everyday.

Smiling slightly, the man sent a somewhat amused look at the girl. "You like to look pretty, don't you?" he remarked with a small chuckle - after all, there was no other reason as to why she had a mirror everywhere she went.

"Huh? Of course." She raised her eyebrow as if she didn't understand his question. "Doesn't everyone?"

"Well, of course!" exclaimed Isshin, the grin crossing his face once again. "But not many people keep their mirrors like you do, Kurumi-chan."

Oh! That. Okay. Wait, that was half of why she made it to look like a hand mirror in the first place, and she was getting surprised? This wasn't good at all. She flailed a bit and sweatdropped.

"Oh, yeah! Of course! Sorry."

Isshin noticed the momentary confusion (and subsequent flailing), but he didn't call her out on it - after all, he was supposedly the insane, overexcited crazy father of his son. He was actually much more than that, but it was best to keep that hidden - at least for now. When the time came for him to be serious, he would.

So all the man did was to grin (still) and respond quite cheerfully. "Ah, it's alright. I was just thinking how rare it is I've seen something like this!"
