Time:After Long Night, while Victoria II is docked in Bellcius still

With the reputation von Karma had, not many people actually wanted to be assigned to the Victoria II. Jack didn't really care; he'd been on the ship before, going to and from missions. This was just another mission, even if it was one that would require staying on the ship for longer than he'd ever spent time off the ground before. There was no sign of nervousness as he made his way to Admiral von Karma's suite; no double-checking the paperwork he had with him, or the time now that he was on the ship itself.
The ship hadn't had any drastic changes that Jack could see. Still sporting the same colors, which had probably been repainted a few times since he'd been on the ship last.
He would be just a couple minutes ahead of the time he was due to report in, so Jack slowed down slightly as he made his way through the ship. When he was finally at the Captain's door, Jack paused just a moment before knocking loudly. "Major Jack Krauser, sir," He said, announcing himself. Going back to military protocol after the more relaxed conditions of the past two years was surprisingly easy. It had been drilled into him so well he could have done it in his sleep.
