"Not well...Dad played a few shows here, but I didn't see much," Jotaro gruffed as he stepped alongside Kakyoin, a breeze catching his coat and sending it up. Why he wore such a long coat in this kind of weather was anyone's guess, really.

He pointed at a sign that directed them towards the marketplace. The Bazaar wasn't what they needed, but perhaps the Farmer's Market would. Fresh cherries and good cigarettes.

"Better than me, at least," Kakyoin replied with a shrug. He paused for a moment to adjust his glasses and noticed the sign. "Why didn't I even think of that?"

He put his hands in his pockets and walked in the direction the sign pointed, looking up at Jotaro briefly. "It's just nice to be out of the ship for now."

Jotaro, of course, just started walking. He REALLY needed a cigarette and nothing else was really going to matter to him at the moment. Though he at least acknowledged Kakyoin with a confirming grunt.

It was not long before they arrived in the marketplace. It was generally located near the port for obvious reasons...trade...

"Need that nicotine, hm? Fine, we'll get your cigarettes first."

Kakyoin started to look at the signs and wares, really just happy to be out on land. "Since this is your addiction, you pick the merchant."

Jotaro grinned slightly and took to smelling the air. His nose could pick out tobacco anywhere really, given it was so trained to the smell. He was, in fact, looking for a particular type of smell. Finer rolling tobacco was hard to come by, but if someone else was buying, he was going to try to get some.

He eventually spotted the scent and headed off in that direction.

Kakyoin was always rather amused by this habit. He followed along, trying not to laugh how silly this seemed.

"Found something that caught your attention?"

"Yes," he replied stoically, the crowd parting almost like the Red Sea for the giant lad, many seeming almost frightened of him. There were a few that gave him ugly looks, but they were ignored.

That is until someone put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey punk," came a voice from a man almost as tall as Jotaro with no hair and an ugly mustache. "Who the hell do you think you are, bumping into me like that?"

To which Jotaro slowly turned to the other man, expression unchanging.

Kakyoin's eyes went wide. Oh, great, now something else to deal with. The smaller boy stepped in between Jotaro and the man, trying to keep a smile on his face.

"Excuse his rudeness, please. He just has a one-track mind right now," he tried to explain, trying to nudge Jotaro in the other direction.

Jotaro...smirked. And looked the other man dead in the eye. In response, the mustached man grunted and growled, not liking Jotaro's arrogant attitude towards him one bit. The man moved past Kakyoin and stared down Jotaro as well. The crowd was...growing restless.

"I'll excuse his rudeness when he apologizes," came the thick accent of the angered man, to which Jotaro simply chuckled, angering the man further.

Kakyoin again moved between them, looking less and less patient with both of us them.

"I apologize on his behalf, then," he said, lowering his head slightly. He wasn't wanting to have to mediate a fight and risk both of them getting arrested. "Just please...let us go by. We're travelers."

The man snarled, sneered, and begrudgingly walked away from the two pirates, leaving Jotaro to flip him the bird as he walked away. Jotaro chuckled slightly once the man was far enough away and continued his journey to find tobacco. He did give Kakyoin a slightly softer grin as thanks though...getting in jail would probably put a damper on their day.

Kakyoin gave a relieved sigh and proceeded to gently punch Jotaro in the air, giving him a look of death.

"All the times I've stopped you from getting in a fight...You owe me big time," he said with a slightly annoyed edge to his tone, "How many times did you get arrested before, just out of curiosity?"

"It doesn't matter, does it?" Jotaro's smile faded and once again returned to being stone faced. They finally reached the proper booth and Jotaro pointed out a pile of tobacco he wanted.

"Get some papers too...," he said to Kakyoin and...well, not the clerk.

This was something Kakyoin was used to by now. He actually addressed the clerk, though, getting the tobacco and rolling papers. He paid and thanked the man, turning back to Jotaro.

"Now...You don't get this until you get me my cherries," he said cheerfully, tucking the items into his pocket.

"Pick'em out then," Jotaro said with a smile, knowing that no cherries should be THAT expensive. A minor cost to finally get some good cigarettes. In reality, Kakyoin was coming away with a loss...Jotaro didn't think the older lad would be able to find cherries that cost the same or more.

Kakyoin actually didn't mind that he was losing money on this...He did owe Jotaro a lot more than money in his mind.

He turned his attention to the fruit stands. Finding cherries that weren't either rotten or not ripe was always a challenge. The redhead made his way through the crowds before setting his sights on one particular vendor.

"Ah, here we are...A pound of these please," he said, actually addressing the clerk.
