Nikolas crouched in the snow, peering towards the house with a set of binoculars to his eyes as he watched the movement going on in the house. If the weather bothered him, he made no show of it, instead concentrating on the mission ahead of them.

"It's not going to be easy to keep them from scattering," he muttered aloud. There was too much space. They would just have to hope they could hit them hard and fast and catch most of them inside the house. Regardless, they were going to have their work cut out for them.

The Dog sat in the snow next to him, her eyes also fixed on the house. She didn't seem to be taking any notice of the cold, though if anyone was paying particular attention, they might notice her fur to be a little longer and shaggier than usual.

"Once they get outside." she added to the end of Nikolas's comment. "If we could keep them in there, we wouldn't have a problem. I wonder how many ways out that place has?"

The night being as cold as it was, most of the farm workers were indoors. There was some heated discussion going on in one of the upstairs bedrooms, and what sounded like a card game on the ground floor. An old man was sitting on the porch, on a rocking chair, humming loudly to himself.

"If we could get close enough to count the exits without being seen..." Kira joined in the conversation as he looked through his own pair of binoculars.

He shivered once, despite his warm jacket. An idea came to him as he studied the old man on the porch.

"It would be difficult for a human to pass unnoticed." He cast a deliberate glance at the Dog and chose his wording carefully, so as not to offend. "However, they might lower their guard around someone such as yourself."

Nikolas nodded. "Unless they've modified the house somehow, I suspect there's just two doors. And the windows, of course." It would be significantly easier if they could keep everyone inside.

"That's a good point," he he replied to Kira's comment. "It would probably be the easiest way. If you're willing," he added, looking back to the Dog.
