Ichigo was restless.

He'd not been able to sleep tonight, for some reason or other, so he had thrown a jacket on and gone up into the crow's nest to sit and think.

After a while, he heard someone moving around the bar near the stage. Standing (and stretching limbs stiff from the chill night air), he looked over the side of the crow's nest, and saw Jean. "Hey! Jean!" he called down, resting his arms on the side of the crow's nest.

Jean had been in the middle of sweeping the floor, eyes down, humming to herself softly to fight back the silence. The song cut off suddenly when she heard someone calling out to her.

"Ichigo?" Because sweeping didn't have very much to do with looking up, she didn't realize immediately where Ichigo's voice had come from, and swiveled her head to either side looking for him. Then it struck her, and she craned her head to look up towards the crow's nest. "Hey! What are you doing up there?"

"Nothing, really," he called back. "Couldn't sleep. What're you doing down there? Isn't it kinda late to be working?"

"Well..." She gripped the handle of the broom a little tighter, feeling the texture of the wood grain rubbing against her fingertips. "Yeah, it is, isn't it? But I was feeling a bit restless, so I figured I might as well work it off."

"I mean, ever since Lunasa..." She hesitated for a moment, and then quickly explained, "This place hasn't exactly looked its best after that huge party. Someone has to finish taking down the decorations!" She unconsciously punctuated it with a small laugh, as though to cover up her real thoughts of how down she had felt since the holiday.
