There was a teenage girl hanging around the end of the gangplank. Mion had sounded around that age, and she had said she'd be waiting... "Hi! You're Mion? I'm Orihime! It's really good to actually meet you!"
Reply
"Likewise!" she agreed with a warm smile, gloved hands clasping together behind her back as the girl began to take in her appearance. "You know, I have to say -- you don't really look like a doctor. Well, a stereotypical one, that is. I mean, you just look so pretty that I would've thought you were one of those actresses from the Winding Way! Or something like that."

"That's a really pretty cape. Did you find it where we're headed, or is it a present?" She reached out to stroke the hem: she wasn't sure if she wanted anything like that, but it was certainly lovely.

"Oh, that reminds me! She's a doctor, too. Did you have a chance to meet her yet?" A slight, inquisitive tilt of the head accompanied her query.

"So where did you want to head to? I've barely been off the ship since I arrived."

Hearing her question, she briefly pressed a finger against her lower lip as she regarded the answer. "I've only had a quick look around so far, but there were few stores in particular that have some nice things on sale. Although, to be honest..." Her voice lowered by an infinitesimal fraction, as if playfully indicating conspiracy without adding any teasing to her tone of voice. "I wanted to purchase a couple of things for the others on the ship -- namely, the ones that were injured in the cave-ins. Think that sounds like a good idea?" A slight, inquisitive tilt of her head accompanied the remark.

"So," she asked, clapping her hands as if to get the two of them ready to go, "which way do we go? Tell me what you had in mind."

"I don't really have anything too intriciate in mind...but!" She lightly drawled out the last word, emphasizing it as if to draw in suspense. "It's just a little something that I think they may like. Gifts -- like scarves, gloves, and things of that nature to keep them warm for the later months -- and maybe some treats." She stopped there, wanting to see Orihime's opinion so far.

"You could definitely have had worse ideas, though!" Her eyes grew more excited as she started launching into a story, her hands telling as much of it as her words did. "There was a little boy at my old hospital who got his mother and his brother to - you won't believe this - sneak in all of his pets whenever they visited! I caught big bro with a parakeet taped to his leg only because I saw a feather fall out of his pants!" She giggled. "I thought it was really sweet, but you never know who's going to end up sick if you bring in animals!"
Reply
"Now, as tempting as a buying everyone a pet sounds...I have to admit I'm thinking more on the materialistic side of things." Her voice momentarily lowered by a slight fraction, as if indulging within some guilty pleasure. "Like some tiny trinkets or a stuffed doll to go with the warm clothing. Even the stuffiest of patients won't be able to resist the cutest, little teddy bear, right?" The corners of her lips quirked upwards at the mild exaggeration.

"So how far are we now?"

It was a mercantile establishment that proudly advertised its fabrics as the very best, which could bear through the coldest weather of Tulgim. In other words, for Shion, it seemed like the perfect place to start.

"Wait, actually, now that I think about it...I remember seeing the perfect place for bargain hunting a few days ago!" Briskly turning, she cheerfully took a step in the direction of her next destination. "Just come right this way, and you'll see."
