However, the situation was grave, and it had spurred even Ryuuken into action. His bow was not out, but the five-pointed star that had been passed to him at Souken's death was tied around his wrist, and his weapon could be summoned at a moment's notice. He had dodged most of what the ship had thrown at him, though one jacket sleeve was torn near the upper arm. His eyes were grave and focused.
He approached Alex Rowe, with a brief nod and a muttered, "Captain," to acknowledge the other man's presence. Ryuuken was ready to tackle this unruly ghost.

He brought his zanpaktou along for this, of course - it was still sealed in order to hide its proper power, but it was enough for him to bash up a ghost when necessary (such as now). He managed to get to the engine room without much incident, looking as he always did when he arrived on scene a bit after Ryuuken, grinning and greeting them happily and generally trying to be his usual cheery self in spite of the situation at hand.
"Captain-san! Ryuuken! Nice to see you two here!"

"Gentlemen," he greeted, not quite as forcefully cheery as Isshin, but seemingly unperturbed by the ominous rattle of pipes around them and the more disturbing sounds emitting from the engine room. "Glad to see I won't be walking into my death all alone."

He half listened to the conversation of the three men that had already arrived, sounded like they were going back in to deal with the ghost. He wouldn't mind going back in, they had to get rid of this ghost as soon as possible. Maybe he could help out, for now he caught his breath waiting for them to head in before he'd move again.

he looked around at the assembled crew. "Do we have the magical resources here to carry out the exorcism?"

He did not speak for Isshin; the man would reveal his power when he thought it necessary, and Ryuuken was not about to betray that so carelessly.

He then turned to Gin, expression turning into something more serious as he addressed the Radio Ops. "Ichimaru-san, when the exorcism starts please do ensure that you don't get hurt in the process. It could get rather violent." And having any injuries was the last thing that the doctor - both of them - needed.

Slowing to a halt as she caught Alex's inquiry, the quartermaster gave a slight nod, as an affirmative response to his question and a respectful greeting at the same time. Glancing over at the rest, she silently took into account Kanda's wounds and Gin's state. The Radio Operator seemed relatively copacetic, but with his precarious position, she intended to keep an eye on him at the same time. Even with two doctors standing ready, it was best to prepare for the unexpected. As for the former, she wasn't entirely clear on how keen he was on ( ... )

He remained quiet for now just watching and listening to the others.

Speaking of which, he smiled at the woman as she approached the group. He hadn't doubted she would make an appearance, although he wasn't sure if her powers would have much of an impact on the ghost. Perhaps she was only here to supervise, in which case he'd be happy to put on a good show for her.
"I'm sure I'm in capable hands," he told Isshin, sparing a pointed look to every member of the group before gesturing to the door. "In which case, shall we proceed?"

He'd been ready for the past five minutes. It was time to deal with this stubborn spirit. He advanced to Alex Rowe's side, bow up and ready.

Tightening the hold on his blade, the man went up alongside Ryuuken, the expression on his face somewhat relaxed - but there was no hiding the look of determination that was across there. They were going to get rid of the spirit, one way or another.

Even if their aforementioned opponent was most likely Jean Morris.
Somehow, it seemed utterly ironic that the man she investigated for so long ended up becoming their enemy. However, she wouldn't dare let that fact -- nor the idea that he was now a ghost -- outwardly unnerve her. Instead, she kept her usual, composed face, with the only difference that it appeared a fraction tenser than normal.

Kanda glanced at the backs of the people walking ahead on him, The Captain, Gin.... it would be a good opportunity to see how strong they were.
He couldn't stop the small smirk creeping over his face at the thought of fighting again, he swiftly drew out Mugen tossing the sheath to the side. He wasn't going to need that where they were going.

If the ghost was down here, he couldn't see it...at least not anywhere obvious. He wondered if he should just try calling Morris out to see if anything interesting happened.
