Normally Atsuro would be either in the radio room or in his cabin on board the Fiertia right now, but he'd been making modifications to his radio and realised belatedly that he was missing a capacitor. He'd searched around the radio room and his cabin, but he couldn't find it. He'd probably misplaced it or lost it, but man, he really wanted to test the mods by tonight! Helping out with the rockfall had been pretty tough and tiring (thankfully it hadn't been as bad as he imagined it could've been), so he'd opted for rest over working on modifying electric circuits for a couple of days.

So here he was in unfamiliar Tulgim, looking for shop he could by the capacitor (and some other parts while he was there). Atsuro was so intent on finding a shop, he didn't recognise Yosuke when he looked past him.

The brunette hummed a small tune to himself - the same tune that was currently playing it up in his headphones as the teenager wandered around the streets. Ever since he had moved, Yosuke had made a few modifications to himself - well mainly he had pretty much re-styled his hair, but it was enough for people he knew from before his move(s) not to recognize him unless they squinted and possibly might have needed to snort paint. Or maybe not. It depended on each individual, really.

He had paused halfway in looking at some shops (the strange stuff around here interested him, but it'd be a while before he could actually had his hands on any of them) and had been about to move again when a figure brushed by him, and it only took Yosuke a moment to notice (and then subsequently remember) the all-familiar hat and attire. The teenager did a double-take for a second - seriously, was it him? - and then called out the other's name just to try his luck.

"Oy, Atsuro!"

Atsuro automatically paused and turned at the sound of his name, momentarily startled. The voice sounded familiar... a lot like Yosuke, actually. He immediately scanned his immediate surroundings for the source of the voice, and settled on a vaguely familiar brunette when he realised no one else was looking in his direction. Yeah, that was Yosuke alright. He looked pretty different from a couple of years back, but it wasn't hard to recognise that 'Yosuke' look.

Walking towards the guy, he greeted with a big grin, "Hey, Yosuke! Long time no see! I wasn't expecting to find you out here."

Upon seeing the reaction he got from the other at that, the brunette could only break into a grin of his own - it really was his longtime childhood friend! Though... there was the fact they hadn't meet face to face in for a few years already, but it was hard to forget one of his closest friends back when he was living in Colvus.

"I didn't expect to see you out in a place like this too!" Yosuke returned with a laugh, looking positively much more happier than before; it really wasn't everyday when you could just bump into an old friend like this so randomly! Still, that was what had made this accidental meeting so much more special. Despite the happy reunion however, he really couldn't help but rub in about his friend's tendency to be a social hermit; as evidenced by the next thing he asked. "So, you finally managed to get away from the Network completely or something now?"

"Hey, I'm not that bad!" Atsuro retorted, just a liiittle defensively. Yosuke was making it sound like all the time he spent on the Network was a bad thing. Besides, he'd die if didn't browse the Network on a regular basis.

Sighing a little, he asked, "What are you doing out here in Tulgim, anyway? I thought you were living out of town?"

"Are too," Yosuke shot back, though there was a huge grin on his face as he said that - really, he didn't mind too much about Atsuro and his hermiting tendencies. He really was a good friend regardless of it (not to mention it was always fun teasing him when it came to that).

He paused though at the question, wondering how he should respond to that - it wasn't like he could just go 'oh see there's this recent bunch of murders in my town and now me and some of my friends are trying to investigate it!'. It... really wouldn't go very well at all. Or rather everything would go straight to hell in a nice little handbasket.

So instead the brunette only laughed a bit and used the excuse he used most of the time. "Nah, I was just bored around where I was so I decided to go out and explore Reial for myself." Which was... a bit of the truth, at the very least.

Atsuro didn't fully believe his friend. Yosuke was never a good liar anyway. "Oh really? You told me you moved to outside of Tulgim because of your parents' work with Junes. You're not being a rebel, are you?"

His tone of voice indicated he was giving Yosuke a light ribbing, rather than any serious belief in the last sentence.

Oh craaaaap. He forgot he had told Atsuro about that!

"O-Of course not!" the brunette immediately responded, putting his hands up and crossing them over in a gesture of defence. "I'm sixteen now, after all! I'm qualified to be independent!" It was really times like these where he was glad to be registered as a Vohemaro rather than an Inovian. That would be a lot more complicated then.

But of course, he wasn't going to let this prod so unreturned. Yosuke quickly gathered back his wits and gave his friend a critical eye. "What about you then? Its not like you to be out of Colvus. Did you run away from home or something?"

Atsuro laughed, both at Yosuke's defensive response and his attempt to get back at him. He guessed Yosuke was hiding something, but he let it slide... for now; he intended to grill Yosuke on the details a little later.

"Nah, I just finished school. I thought about getting a job back home, but I ended up spending all my time on the Network instead!" He grinned. It'd been pretty fun at the time. His expression soured a little at the next part, "I didn't really want to work on the farms, you know?" Perking up a little, he continued with a beaming smile. "Luckily Gin chose that time to leave one of his cryptic messages, or I wouldn't have found a fun job on the Fiertia."

Yosuke couldn't help but laugh as well at other's reply, looking far too amused for his own good - really, this was the Atsuro that he knew and remembered all too easily. "Yeah, I guess working at the farms would be really kinda boring." More than boring, really - it would seriously have bored the hell out of the brunette. For him, there was no point in doing such a mundane job like that; what he needed was excitement! Something new and special and awesome! Like the fact he had a Persona unlike so many others, and he was investigating this whole case ( ... )

"Haha, he's not that bad." Atsuro laughed off Yosuke's less than flattering description of his mentor. He admitted, though, "A little weird, yeah, but he's a genius! I think it comes with being so smart."

Atsuro took a quick glance down at his watch. As awesome as it was to meet up with Yosuke again, he was a little worried he wouldn't be able to get the parts he needed; he'd already been delayed by Adachi. "Hey, I've got to pick up some stuff for my radio." He patted his bag for emphasis. "Can we walk and talk?"

The brunette gave his friend a critical eye at that, putting on a show of looking more and more suspicious by the second. "Are you sure its supposed to work that way, Atsuro? You'd better be careful in case he really does have a few screws loose." It was most probably a pretty usless warning, but it never hut to be more careful - who knew what kind of person this Gin guy really was, even if the other had met him before.

He perked up a bit at what Atsuro said next, giving an inquiring glance at him and then his bag before shrugging and responding with an acknowledgement. "Sure, why not? I've got good enough time to kill." He could go and poke around for the Fiertia later anyway - it wasn't everyday one got to meet his longtime childhood friend in the open like that now.

Atsuro laughed off Yosuke's suspicions, starting to walk in a direction that would hopefully lead them to a shop or something where he could pick up his parts. "He's taught me half of what I know about journals! Maybe you should ask for lessons from him." He grinned slyly. "But then again, you can barely do the stuff I teach you... I dunno if you'd be able to keep up with him."

Yosuke could only make a face at those comments. "Hey, you don't have to put it that way now, you know," the brunette started, sounding a bit more defeated than he should be. "Everything just sounds so... complicated, y'know? I don't even know how you can keep up with it and stay so sane."

Or maybe Atsuro had been insane from the beginning. Yosuke wouldn't be too surprised if that was the truth. How else could he be so... so Atsuro?

Atsuro grinned from ear to ear at Yosuke's response. "Hahaha, that's the Yosuke I know! It just wouldn't be the same if you suddenly became good with journals."

That comment did nothing but cause the brunette to pause a bit, freezing as his blood momentarily turned cold. Truth be told, he was actually quite a lot better than the last time he had seen Atsuro in the flesh. Partly because he had been toying around, but mostly because he had been investigating the murders and the journals had proven to be a good source of information. It was going to be rather if awkward if the other found out about his sudden improvement with the machines...

Putting aside his own sudden sense of awkward at the side for now, Yosuke only laughed and grinned sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head. "Y-Yeah, that'd sure be pretty funny, right?"

Maybe he should ask for lessons whenever he had the chance...
