He looked up and grunted. Not a disapproval or an invitation, just an acknowledgement.

Almost right away, her eyes narrowed critically as they fixed on Aragaki. "You look dead," she reported bluntly, shutting the door behind her. Of course he didn't look nearly as bad as he had that afternoon: no more deep red stains blooming on his jacket, no wild grins and black globs sputtering outwards. But boredom-that read loud and clear on his expression. His eyes looked tired, to her, unfocused. Cirucci felt shut-in at least half the time, but to not even possess his journal for amusement ( ... )

"Ain' you're fault. S'bad luck, that's all." He replied, rolling his shoulders and tossing another card. It missed. "Capt'n woulda been pissed if I let a crewman die."

Cirucci took a few hesitant steps further into the room, stopping by the foot of his bed. "...Look." She breathed loudly through her nose. "I'm not repeating this again. Get it through your head or don't. But for now, I owe you, whether I'm pleased with it or not." Her eyes locked onto his. "I don't know what the hell you did, but..."
She trailed off, gaze flicking to the ground; then, it darted back up, her eyes watching him closely. "...Probably not willing to talk about that yet, are you?"
Gin knew about his power, no doubt; as it stood, she didn't need to interrogate Shinjiro about the matter. Her question was rhetorical, really, a way of showing that she had some sympathy for him. She could afford to back off, for now; best not to threaten and corner ( ... )
