The Gunsmoke was still just a guess, but they were heading in the right direction - and really, where else would they go to show off? Those outfits would be wasted in any other bar.
The Jäger finally managed to stifle her chuckling as she rounded the corner in search of Maxim. He had to see this, but she didn't want to spoil the shock for him. "Hyu" - she declared in a voice carrying absolute certainty, without even waiting for him to turn around - "iz goink to Gunsmoke vit me. Right now."

Jenka had walked ahead of him a bit so he'd slowed his walk to a stroll, not really in a hurry to get anywhere. Then he was suddenly met by Jenka again around a corner, stopping short in surprise. Her declaration caused him to raise his eyebrows.
"Gunsmoke? Eh... hokay." He hadn't really had any other plans so it was a perfectly plausible idea. Still, Jenka seemed to be rather excited about something. "Vhy iz ve goink dere? Vot's goink on?"

She walked fast, too absorbed in the anticipated spectacle to be interested in much conversation. Oh, this was going to be good.

"No complainink, Hy vos chust curious. Hyu seems to heff zumtink else on hyu mind." Maybe she would let something slip.

It only took one glance to spot the bright splashes of color that were Dimo and Gorobei. Jenka made her way toward an empty table in their general vicinity, studiously avoiding actually looking at the two. Bursting out laughing right now would spoil the evening.
She was trying not to give the impression of heading for anything in particular, but there were enough free tables closer to the entrance to make it clear she wasn't just taking the nearest one. Hopefully Maxim wouldn't catch on just yet.

Of course, now that he was paying attention to his surroundings he instantly caught a very odd but strangely intriguing sight. It was difficult not to stare as he followed Jenka to a table and sat down. There was one woman over there... no that couldn't be a woman. And she was green, he could tell under the makeup. The exact shade as Dimo. She was about his height, and moved like him, (he sniffed the air) and smelled like him. Yes, that was definitely Dimo.
At first Maxim wanted to laugh out loud and point, but there was another "woman" with him who also looked very familiar but Maxim couldn't quite put his finger on it.
He leaned over the table toward Jenka. "Hy tink Hy chust shpotted de 'extra fon'."

Hunching over his tall glass of peach-flavored girly drink, he silently willed Maxim and Jenka not to see him.
Right. Like that was going to work.

"Ooho~!" Gorobei practically sang, clasping his hands together.
It was apparent that Dimo hadn't bothered to tell anyone, except perhaps Gkika, about their night out. News spread fast among Jagers, it seemed. Gorobei was quite grateful, and not about to let such an opportunity pass him by. "Maxim! We're over here!" he trilled, standing up and waving his arm around.

She only managed to keep up the sweet act for a few moments before a malicious grin settled over her face. Oh, this was going to be good.

This was just too good. And the best part was that Dimo seemed to be highly distraught over their arrival. Oh, there would be months and months of teasing and blackmail to come! Maxim laughed at Jenka's assessment.
"Yah, ezpecially dis vun over here." He nodded to Dimo as he sat down next to him. "Hey dere, preety lady," he said while barely managing to keep from laughing.

"Ho, vhy thenk hyu!" he trilled through gritted teeth, "but I tink hyu gots us mixed up vith zome odder pipples. Dot's Rini, und I iz Hildie. Iz very nize to meet hyu. Ezpecially," Dimo whipped out his fan and started fluttering it furiously in front of his face to hide his embarrassment, "zomevun big und handsome like hyu, Sir." With the evil grin on Maxim's face, Dimo was pretty certain that he was about to get ganged up on here, so he might as well deal with it with as much grace as he could.

Although he probably wouldn't refer to Jenka as a "friend" due to her recent "training" session with Komachi, he wasn't about to ruin the evening with a lecture. "So what might you be doing all the way out here, at our bar of all places?"

Giving a light chuckle, Maxim leaned in closer to Dimo and grinned flirtatiously. "Hildie, huh? Hy could heff svorn hyu name vos Maria." Maxim was determined to keep Dimo on his toes tonight.
"Hoho! Vell den, Meess... er, Rini, Hyu iz lucky ve heppened along." Maxim gave Gorobei a wink and settled back in his chair. "Aktually, Jenka here dragged me out to dis bar. Said dere vos zumtink fon goink on or sumtink." Perhaps he was trying to keep everyone on their toes.

After keeping the annoyed glare going for a few seconds longer to make certain that Maxim got the message, Dimo relaxed back into his seat. His hand smoothed down his skirt, and switched to fanning him instead. "Iz a pretty name, though. Vhat lucky gorl does hyu know vhat gots dot name?"
Reply
"I knew a girl named Maria once! Ruined the name for me, if you know what I mean." Yes, Dimo had been glaring at Maxim. Gorobei understood that now and decided it was best to keep going. "I heard she kicked puppies and said rude things to the elderly. Very scandalous in my rich neighborhood."

He slapped the table a few times, hunched over it and shaking. Finally he sat up and guffawed a few more times before giving Dimo a slap on the back. It wasn't a very gentlemanly thing to do to a lady but Maxim wasn't thinking about Dimo's current alter ego at the moment.
"Hoo, dot's goot shtuff! Ho boy," he said as he wiped tears of mirth from his eyes. "Goot shtory, Meester Gor-... Er, Meess Rini!"
