infirmary visits, Jean has come to thank Gintoki on behalf of Ichigo. And to return some borrowed comics.
Setting: Gintoki's quarters.
Time: Late evening.
Warnings: None. This is purely a platonic log. Hughes, stop looking at us like that.
As it so happened, because both had joined the Winding Way at around the same time, Jean had ended up with her quarters next to Gintoki's. And so, when Ichigo had asked Jean to give a message to Gintoki, the easiest way to run into him was to visit him in his room. Besides that, despite being so close to him, both literally and as friends, she had never actually been to his quarters before.
By the time she stopped by, she had already let her hair down as an early preparation for bed. In one hand, she carried the empty strawberry milk carton Ichigo had handed to her. Did she really need to give this back to Gintoki? Well, he had said to give it to him, so she'd give it to him. In the other arm, she held a large stack of comics which Gintoki had loaned to her. Though she didn't fully understand why Gintoki was such a fanatic about them, she had done her best to read through them, and had found that if nothing else, they had helped her nail her Pink Princess characterization for the play.
So, with both her hands full, she had to knock on his door with one of her knuckles. "Hey, Gintoki? Are you in?" she asked, careful not to call to him too loudly in case he had already fallen asleep.
