Ikkaku hadn't expected so many people to take him up on the offer to spar. He didn't expect anyone to, but it would be a good idea to establish himself. And then a whole bunch of people jumped on it. Hell, if the whole crew was like that, he was gonna have one hell of a blast on the Fiertia. He dug out a length of cable from the supply room, and a metal clip to hold the ends together. There wasn't enough time to set up a real ring on the edge of the market, so the wire would have to do.
He doubled the cable over several times to a manageable loop slung over his shoulder and headed out to the market. The ship was repaired, he had eaten, and there really wasn't much to do until the ship had... somewhere to go again. Might as well make the best of it.
When he arrived at a clear space, just a stone's throw away from the last tent-- close enough to easily find but far away enough that they probably wouldn't be able to stumble into someone's stand-- Ikkaku began laying out the cable. Mostly it was just unlooping it, spreading it out and toeing the line into place, but it's not like he had anything to do until people arrived.
He had some pretty simple rules-- basic weapons only, first one to give up or get knocked out, or pushed out of the ring, loses. Easy.
