Setting: Just outside the marketplace, within sight of the Fiertia

Souji had left his quarters as soon as he and the new mechanic were in agreement as to when and where they were going to do this. It was kinda... exciting to be honest, this spar. He had never met this person before and had no idea of their skills, size, or even gender. That kind of thrill was fun and reminded him of when he was fighting the Shadows more regularly. After all; you could never tell what kind of enemy you were about to run into in life.
The young helmsman made his way out to the edge of the marketplace, his katana thumping again his leg in a loose rhythm. He hadn't even used it since the attack on the ship... he didn't want to get rusty. Rusty could equal death, after all.
Soon he found a good spot and started scratching out a circle with the scabbard of his weapon. Best to be ready when his rival appeared.
