Brook strolled out from his meeting.  He'd have grinned, had he the lips to do so.  One trial down; he was on as a radio operator.  Now to get to his post so he could fiddle with familiarize himself with the equipment.

Just...they'd neglected to mention where exactly the radio room was.  Poking his head back into the room revealed it was now empty, his interviewers no doubt having to talk to another prospective crew member.

There was clearly only one thing to do:  try to find someone who could point him the right way.  And that, naturally, meant...wandering around opening doors, right?  Heck, if he was going to be hopelessly lost on-ship, he might as well familiarize himself with the place while doing so.

There was a nice big door not too far down the hall, which seemed as good a place as any to start.  Opening it, Brook found a room with assorted seating and tables - probably the ship's mess.

Brook looked at the room, then down at his fiddle case.  Maybe wandering about could wait until people knew him better - as it was, new guy aboard, looking like he did, he'd be lucky if people didn't hurl garlic at him or try to bash him with a holy symbol or something.

He shrugged, took a seat where he could watch the door, and started to play.  He picked a nice, upbeat tune; it was his first day on the job, after all.  Things were looking up.
