Content: TODAY IS SOMEONE'S BIRTHDAY. Older brother treats him

He felt silly. Really, of all the times he'd nagged people about forgetting his birthday, he'd nearly done the same, himself. Things had just been so busy, though, he couldn't help it.
Ah, but it was good to see the post Francis left him. He knew he never had to worry about him forgetting and despite what going out with him into town could entail, he was excited. This was a very different birthday for him.
This was the first birthday he'd ever spent away from his family back home. He was a little homesick. but at the same time, this was a big deal. Him and Francis were going to go out, just the two of them, and just have fun. ...Like adults, you know. Not that he didn't enjoy the fancy parties his parents were prone to doing ...there was something much more personal about this.
So Matt went out on the docks, dressed in the best he could find on the ship (Which all things considered, wasn't that bad), and waited for Francis to meet him.
