Characters: Isshin Kurosaki, Ryuuken Ishida [CLOSED]
Content: Ryuuken wants to familiarize himself with the fairgrounds, and thinks that it would be a good idea if Isshin did so, as well. This is all. He’s not trying to figure out where Isshin stands when it comes to their friendship. Not in the slightest. Anyone suggesting anything along those lines will be shot.
Nothing’s actually going to happen in this log. It’s all character-development. We’ll let you know if things actually start to work out, but don’t hold your breath. If anything comes out in the open at all, it won’t be until next year, at this rate.
Setting: Around the makeshift town
Time: Mid-morning, about a week ago
Warnings: Ryuuken snark, Isshin crazy, Ryuuken coldness, Isshin joy, Ryuuken mancrushing, Isshin obliviousness, tsuntsun, deredere. Did I leave anything out?
Ryuuken stood still in the early-morning breeze, letting the light wind cool him. It promised to be a hot midsummer’s day, but for now, it was pleasantly cool at the base of the Silvana’s gangplank. The wind ruffled his hair, but his eyes were stoical and serious behind his glasses. He was waiting for Isshin.
Ryuuken wanted to familiarize himself with the racecourse and the fairgrounds. Although it was unlikely that Ryuuken would be called upon to help the Silvana provide security, being that he was a doctor, he still liked to know the layout of where he was. He could get called out to treat an injury, and it wouldn’t do to be caught ignorant. True, Ryuuken could do this on his own, but he had a reason for wanting Isshin present, even to the point where Ryuuken had suggested this. This was an unusual occurrence, as up until now he had allowed Isshin to be the one who initiated anything outside of work. And, to be honest, Ryuuken had turned down about half of the invitations.
But after talking with Isshin about the Silvana bombings, Ryuuken had felt.. ..at ease in Isshin’s presence for the first time in a long while. Damn the man, but Isshin was insidious. He was one of the only ones who could get through Ryuuken’s shell through sheer persistence.
Perhaps he could settle things in his mind if he dealt with the man in person for a while. Ryuuken did not like things to be disorganized. He liked to know without a doubt how to deal with things, and people. He did not adapt quickly or easily outside of a combat situation. This would require thought, and more than a little time.
And Isshin’s presence. Blast it, where was the man?
