Content: Near wants to look at the planes before the races. Light thinks kids should leave 'em ships alone.
Setting: Open area near the Vicky II where the planes are.
Time: In the afternoon, a little after lunch.
Warnings: None. Or so.
The races were only a few days away and the makeshift city was buzzing with activity. The excited buzz was contagious, and the Fiertia was almost empty considering the number of people who opted to enjoy some food, beer and company outdoors. Near was not particularly craving any candies, nor was he hoping to get the company for the day, and he most certainly did not intend to drink.
There were other more fascinating things that required his attention for now. Flipping his journal open, he looked for the list of planes that were taking part and noted the favourites to win, intending to see if he could find any of the planes that were mentioned, and perhaps study them. It would be interesting if the odds were truly representative of how impressive the planes were .
Looking around, and feeling mildly uncomfortable being in the crowd, Near spotted a grand military ship just a small distance away. 'That would be the Victoria II' he thought to himself, making his way to the planes that were rather conveniently located outside the vessel. A prestigious military ship would not have anything but the best.
