Content: Zack is wandering all around town, finding the best bars, buying little things here and there, generally being friendly.
Setting: All around the makeshift town they're in.

Dimo gazed indecisively at a display of throwing knives, trying to pick out a set. It was always good to have back-ups, just in case. But so far, these all looked improperly balanced. He growled a little under his breath. Couldn't anybody make good knives these days? He'd found some at the Boston Market, but those had been for Anthy. Now that he was looking for himself, it seemed that the selection was sparse, indeed.

Someone had told Zack earlier that there were some leatherwork shops in this direction and so he'd headed over here. He still wanted his gloves, and maybe a new belt as well, but right now Zack was being thoroughly distracted by the racks of weapons on display.

He'll never give up his Buster sword, but he did appreciate other types of weapons.

And ooh, there were throwing knifes. Very shiny throwing knives.

Looked as though some of the rest of the crew was out window shopping for new weapons, too. Dimo and Zack's paths hadn't really crossed much in the past, but he was curious to meet anyone who carried that impressive of a sword with him. Given the rest of his crewmates' abilities, Dimo had no doubt that the young man could use it, and use it well.

Dimo glanced over his shoulder and met Zack's gaze with his own yellow-eyed one. "If hyu's looking for knives, dere's probably better booths along down de vay. Dese vuns iz zo off-balance, iz not even fonny."

Zack laughed and shifted the weight of the buster sword on his back. "I'm more looking than anything else. I've already got this huge thing after all." He gestured at the buster sword with one hand. "I like looking though, even if I'm not the best at throwing knives around."

He gave Dimo a friendly smile. "You definitely know more about knives than I do. Swords are more my area of expertise."

"How long hyu been training vith dot great beeg ting, den?" Dimo inquired, moving along to a section of the booth that contained a good supply of whetstones and metal polish. This, on the other hand, was something that he could definitely use. Maxim and Jenka probably, too. "I haz been practizing vith my knives since I vas real little, und hyu probably haz been, too, unless I miss my mark."

"A couple of years. Not all that long really." Zack said modestly as he followed along. "I'm sure you're much better with your knives." He bypassed the whetstones as he already had a good one, but moved closer to take a look at the metal polish to see if they've got the one he's been looking for all this time.

"Only a couple of years?" Dimo eyed first one type of polish, then the other. There were one or two that were just for jewelry, and he bypassed those in favor of a larger jar in the back that was meant more for blades. "Must have had a real intense training regimen, even to be able to lift dot ting! I iz goot vith de knives, sure, but den, I haz had a real long time to practize." He paid for the jar of polish, then pointed out to Zack where he'd gotten it from. "Dot's probably vhat hyu's looking for."

"There was a lot of practical learning involved." Zack admitted. Which was great for Zack, who was a hands-on learner and got the most of such lessons instead of being stuck behind a desk in a classroom which others preferred. "It's really not that bad. you get used to it."

He frowned thoughtfully at the label on the jar and shook his head as he got a jar of it himself. "Not the one I'm looking for, but it'll do for now."

"Vhat iz de kind vhat hyu's looking for, den?" Dimo asked curiously. "Hyu sword magic or zometing, und dot's vhy hyu needs a special kind of metal polish for it?"

(OOC: Sorry for the short tag. Am slightly braindead from staying up and working on costumes. >_<)

Zack snorted with laughter at the idea that his sword was magical. "Nah, it's just a normal sword. Bigger and heavier than other swords, but not one ounce of magic in it."

He paid the stallkeeper for the jar and shook his head slightly. "The one I'm looking for is used by Ivona military, or at least they used to use it. I haven't it for sale anywhere for a long time now."

"Vhat's zo different about vhat dey uzes in Ivona, den?" Dimo scoffed. "Dey puts de bloot of dere enemies into it or zometing?"

Zack shrugged. "I don't really know. It's just that one kind that gives my sword a certain shine to it. Nothing else I've tried gets it exactly like that." He laughed. "I don't think there's any blood with it, or it'll turn my sword red!"
