Content: Haruhi invites Hana out for a date some more confidence lessons. Some confidence lessons which involve alcohol and Hana being legal.

Hana opened the door and poked his head out. What did Haruhi want with him now?

"Uh, hello?"

When Hana poked his head out of the door, Haruhi took that as an invitation to grab his collar, getting ready to pull him with her.

"Come on, let's go!" she said, without giving him any hint of all as to where they were going. He'd figure it out when they got there.

Hana stumbled forward as she pulled him, barely managing to catch on the door handle and pull his door closed behind him.

"W-where are we going?" he asked as he was pulled along.

Ugh, why was Hana asking such useless questions?

"You'll see when we get there," Haruhi responded with a huff, keeping her gaze forward and giving him a firm tug down the hallway. "Do you want to ruin the surprise that much?"

"B-but!" he voiced, although he couldn't think of a good objection to put at the end of that. He resigned himself to silence as he was unceremoniously dragged through the ship.

Haruhi smiled in victory when Hana said nothing more, and continued to drag him down this hallway, that hallway. Finally, and quite abruptly, she let go of his collar, making her hands into fists and putting them squarely on her hips.

"Here," she said as she looked up at the elaborate sign: The Gunsmoke.

Hana stopped and stared first at the sign, and then at her, and then back again, confused. Why here, of all place? He didn't get it.

"Huh?" he said dumbly.

Man, did she really have to explain everything? She let out a long, exasperated sigh. Alright, alright, she'd start subtle.

"Ok, ok. Hana, how old are you now?"

Hana almost said fifteen, and then caught himself. No, wait, that wasn't right, he was..."Sixteen...oh!"

Wow, he had practically forgotten about that.

"Uh, I don't think this is a good idea," he said nervously.

"What do you mean?! Of course it's a good idea! Now come on!" Haruhi was going to get him in there even if she had to drag him. That was something she did on a normal, everyday basis anyway. Hana really should know better than to fight it by now.

"It's confidence lessons! That's right. It's time we picked those back up again, because you are definitely not improving at all."

"But the last time I drank, I got a really bad hangover and was miserable the next day and couldn't even remember what I did, I don't think..."

He was going to lose this, and he knew it. But he had to put up some token resistance.

"A part of your confidence lessons is about building up your alcohol tolerance! Do you want to go on forever not being able to get in one full drink before you pass out?" Ok, that was exaggerating, but Haruhi was not losing this one! "Now that you're legal it's the time to start training!"

With that she grabbed his arm and tugged him inside.

Hana followed her in, his face flushed, still protesting feebly.

"I-I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually work like that, I remember reading something in a medical journal about it..."

"Who cares about that medical crap! I say we're doing this, so we're doing it!" And that was that.

When they got inside Haruhi quickly dragged Hana over to the bar and pretty much threw him on one of the stools. "Come on, Hana! Where's your sense of adventure? You'll never be confident if you can't let loose once in a while!"

Hanatarou overbalanced as he was thrown onto the stool, and wound up grabbing onto the bar for balance.

"I...I guess, but..."

He tried to say that he really wasn't interested in getting drunk, but it wouldn't come out properly. So he said this instead:

"I can't afford to get drunk right now, anyways."

Haruhi paused. Looked at him. And gave him the most disgusted look she could muster.

"What do you mean 'can't afford to get drunk?' Are you trying to skip out on your confidence lessons?!" She was just about ready to start hitting him over the head. Man, why was he so adverse to this? It was just a few drinks!
