After successfully dragging Hughes off from Hijikata, Roy was quiet - not the bad kind of quiet. Just... quiet. He also made it a point to let go of Hughes the moment they were out of sight, but he did not stop walking.
"We'll need a good place to go, so that we can talk."
They both knew the risks - him, a Victoria II officer in uniform, with some supposed nobody from a theater ship with a very strange (and perhaps seedy) reputation. The less they were seen, the better.
