Reap back the time

Content: It is high time that his freedom is returned to him.
Setting: Various places.
Time: Shortly after the cactaur invasion.
Warnings: Not so nice things may be around the corner, we shall see how it plays out.
It had to happen today. Ever since she had decided to finally do it, something always seemed to keep popping up. Whether it be her work, becoming frantic over Edward's disappearance again, or invasions by some god damned cactaurs, she had been continuously kept from it. Of course part of it had been cowardice on her part as well over what would happen to Greed, and how others would react, but she was determined to do this before anything else happened, or before she got cold feet.
Ling had been waiting long enough. Her mind went back to those days when she was alone in Melior and how she hated waiting for them. There had always been that lonliness, and of course the uncertainty of whether they would actually come back, they could be dead for all she knew. It was hard to remember exactly how she had lived then, but to this day Winry still recalled that feeling; to think that what she felt paled in comparison to whatever Ling must have been going through all these years made her resolve all the stronger. She had had her life, her body. She could make her own decisions, she existed.
What happened to Ling when he was being suppressed? Did he sleep, was he aware of everything that Greed did? Either option was disturbing in its own way, and there was no way she could ever figure that out so she tried to purge her mind of that train of thought. It would only serve to distract her.
She had sent a message to Beat a little while ago, telling him that she wanted to try today. Now she was waiting at the front of the ship which was thankfully empty.
