Characters: Takasugi Shinsuke, Jenka
Content: Just an innocent walk around town. The bad parts of town. At night.
Setting: Streets in the less pleasant areas of Bydan.
Time: Evening/night of the day after the cactuar attack
Warnings: Evil, creepiness, and violence - what did you think?
The cactuar fight left the Jäger restless, if bloodied. They weren't challenging opponents - and fighting plants just didn't feel quite right. Even if they left you studded with needles. A day was enough to get over the bloodloss, leaving only the faint marks on Jenka's skin and the violent cravings in her eyes.
At least they were in port, so she wasn't confined to the ship. A walk might burn off some of the energy, and there was always the chance of a fight, if you picked the right area. She left her sword, breastplate and even gun in the cabin - they made potential attackers think twice, and tonight she didn't want to scare anyone off.
Company would be nice too... And Jenka knew just who she'd like to get to know better.
It wasn't hard to find the new quartermaster wandering the hallways. The ship was large, but the smell of smoke was easy to follow. Tracking, she automatically fell into a scout's soundless gait. Century-old habits died hard - and admittedly, the Jäger wasn't working on getting rid of this one. It was always amusing to come up behind the crewmembers and see their reactions to a growl right behind them or a hand on their shoulder. And then there were the interesting ones, who sensed her presence long before that. She wondered which of these categories Takasugi would be in.
