Itou didn't make a habit if rising earlier than necessary (7am), so when he woke up an hour earlier than his usual, he was understandably annoyed by this and managed to scare any and all further sleep away.
So six in the morning found Itou stalking off to the training room to kill time before breakfast and hopefully a productive day. It was difficult enough that he didn't have a job to do until the Victoria decided to leave Solare, but his other assignment from von Karma couldn't be done with everyone else in the damn city asleep at the hour.
