Near's socked feet padded softly against the wooden floor as he made his way towards the passengers' cabins below deck. The ship was still in a rather precarious state after the attack and the boy had to make several de-tours on his way to his destination.
Ciel Phantomhive was not an unfamiliar name to the navigator. After all, it was Ciel's toy company that was responsible for some of the puzzles and toys Near kept in his room. The name Phantomhive boasted nobility and rank, and if what Near had gathered was true, then there was something that Ciel Phantomhive knew about that was hidden from the rest of the world. The sudden death of the former Phantomhive head, then Ciel's subsequent disappearance and return to glory, was a story that had enough gaping holes for Near to push an airship model through.
If anything, Near was only interested the possible information that he could gain from Ciel. The young Phantomhive was a year younger than himself, but if his encounter with him on the network proved to be accurate, then Ciel Phantomhive was no average twelve year old.
'And how fitting it would be,' Near thought to himself, twirling a lock of his white hair.
Stopping in front of a set of double doors, Near raised his hand and knocked.
