So. The crisis had finally been averted.

Sure, everyone was fine (save for those still affected by the traps, but that was another thing altogether) and the mages that had been caught (including the one he and his... Mustang and that reporter) were all currently bound up and all ready to be interrogated after the orders were given out. He had given out orders to begin the repairs of the ship earlier as well, fully expecting Edgeworth to back it up with an extra command or two or something.
Which was the root of the problem-Edgeworth hadn't given out such a command when the samurai had checked it up on the network after his meeting with Mustang, which was already a puzzlement by itself; the fact that the first mate hadn't come up to do anything about their captives too was another point to worry about. It was pretty clear that something was wrong-it wasn't like Miles Edgeworth to not take charge of a situation like this unless he happened to be busy or was out of commission.

The boatswain hissed under his breath as he fished out a cigarette from his pack, lighting it up as he glanced around the area. Since there had been nothing spoken of the first mate being out of duty it was pretty obvious what was going on-somewhere, somehow, Edgeworth must have been ambushed on or something. And then there was that post that nurse had made earlier...
Guess there's no other way about it, Hijikata thought to himself as he puffed out a cloud of cigarette smoke before barking some orders to the others to keep an eye on their captives before moving off, starting on his search for Miles Edgeworth.
