What could go wrong with tea? EVERYTHING. D| thedevilsmile May 2 2009, 11:02:22 UTC
Ah, the house of Dion. It had been a while since he was last here - if memory served him well, the last time he had been here was... sometime late last year, during the season of the Long Night.

...well, not too long then, it seemed. Time sure had its ways to try and trick people ( ... )

Aizen raised his eyes from their examination of Newton's first few attempts at defining, clearly and accurately, what was bound to form the foundations of calculus. A fascinating analysis, even if its initial results were a little too elementary for his liking. Yet another limit that was all too easily broken -- or rather, expanded, extended, and improved.

His gaze met that of a blond, well-dressed man approaching him -- and Aizen smiled. Ah. It was him, was it? As with many other things, his patience had served him well; as he was so fond of saying, it had only been a matter of time ( ... )

I don't drink tea, bb. thedevilsmile May 3 2009, 13:34:30 UTC
"Thank you," the officer responded, the smile still on his face. Well, manners were always the first thing in a gentlemen after all, no matter how... ungentlemanly Kristoph could be when it came to certain issues, especially those that pertained to a certain first mate who was Vohermaro by birth, was under the limelight as Manfred von Karma's protege and happened to go by the name of Miles Edgeworth. But that, of course, was another story altogether - and one best not told to other people. No one knew vengeance until they met Kristoph Gavin - he would never let any form of imperfection escape him even in the slightest.

Likewise, Kristoph was hardly one to believe in such trivial things like coincidence, or fate - those were for the feeble minded and needed things to believe in; he only believed in himself and what he could do. But the things that could be written on it were somewhat interesting and enlightening at times - not to mention when used well, it could prove a persuasive argument against certain people who he would wish to ( ... )

"Why is that, if one may ask?" Interest, curiosity, and the instincts of a scholar confronted by a question that challenged him to learn (and perhaps debate) warred for supremacy in Aizen's face; the latter won. "Chaos theory is a subject with staggering potential, but from what little I have read of it--" Aizen paused to laugh softly and sip at his tea, "--its adherents and proponents often find themselves arguing with each other about what their results actually mean."

He leaned forward slightly, gestured at the book. "However, retribution in and of itself is quite the unique subject, isn't it? I must confess, I have not met many who are interested in the field, much less scholars of it."
